AGED CARE IS CHANGING
WHY DO WE NEED AGED CARE REFORM?
• Australians are living longer as a whole.• Government will not have the money to build and run
enough aged care homes to provide services to everyone. Needs to be sustainable and affordable.
• People wish to stay in their own homes as long as possible – need to improve and expand home services.
• Offer choice and put control back into the hands of consumers.
• Encourages businesses to invest and grow.• Provides diverse and rewarding career options.
