NOVEMBER 11 - 32ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY

TIME “I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other

contributors to the treasury. For they all contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything

she had, her whole living.” MARK 12:43-44

Jesus gets right to the point – we are all called to give money

to support the mission of the Church, regardless of our

circumstance. No gift is too small or insignificant! Giving

money to support the mission of our local parish is a matter of our faith, just like praying and

participating in parish ministries. When you make a

financial offering, is it from your “first fruits” or from what is “left

over”?

WORD OF LIFE “Through the Church's

teaching, God invites us to a fuller, richer, deeper way of life

and love.”

YOUCAT QUESTION OF THE WEEK Why does the Book of Genesis depict creation as "the work of six days"? From the symbolism of this phrase, we can derive seven principles: (1) Everything that exists in this universe exists because God wills it to exists. (2) Everything that exists is good. (3) Even things that have become bad still were created good and have good in their core. (4) Created beings are interrelated and interdependent. (5) All of creation reflects the goodness and beauty of God. (6) There is an order of complexity of the created universe: man is superior to an animal, an animal is superior to a plant, and a plant is superior to inanimate matter. (7) Creation is moving towards the point when Christ will bring it towards God. CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE! If you wish to see what our

youth have been up to, please visit our parish website. There you will see pictures of what our youth have done

including our pumpkin carving event!

EVEN THOUGH VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK IS OVER, I would like us each to take up the challenge to

pray for the future spouse of our child, whether that spouse is a husband/wife in holy marriage or is the Church as a priest/religious, so that our kids might find fullness in their life, love the other and receive that love in return. Vocation Awareness Week implicitly reminds each of us as well, no matter what state in life we find ourselves called to, that we are each individually called to be holy in our day-to-day lives by loving God and loving neighbor. Take time to find moments to talk to your kids about what it means to be holy and discuss with them ways to explore what God might be

calling them to in their life.

REMINDER: No Religious Education classes on

November 25. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
