Advanced Genset Controller, AGC 200

The integrated control solutionThe AGC 200 integrates all necessary functions for protection and control of your genset.

Application possibilities range from a single genset to complex power plants.

Designed for harsh environmentsHowever hostile the environment, the AGC 200 will see your application through. The system’s

extended operation temperature of -40°C enables it to operate in near-arctic climates. IP65

ingress protection allows for installation in extremely wet or dusty surroundings. Exposed to

extraordinary shock and vibrations, the thoroughly tested AGC 200 ensures full functionality

and operability. The software platform has a proven performance record based on many

thousands of already commissioned AGC units.

Automatic damage controlIn the event of a serious fault, the AGC 200 protects against single points of failure:

• Galvanic separation ensures that other AGC 200 units remain unaffected by application

faults, eg. earth faults, thus guaranteeing a stable power supply

• Transformers in all of our measuring circuits prevent even heavy overloads from affecting

the functionalities of the AGC 200 and your application gensets

• Built-in high power relays with an integrated set of redundant switches ensure

functionality even in cases of faults on switch sets

• Fast-blow auto fuses protect highly sensitive ins against fault currents and installation voltage

Why DEIF solutions lastWe use technology based on components that will meet the strictest requirements for marine

and defense applications as well as UL listings. To avoid that our products are affected by

damp and dust, all PCBs are coated with a ne layer of varnish. The varnish ensures product

longevity. But most importantly, in order to maintain our high standards of product quality we

test, test, test and test.

Advanced Genset Controller, AGC 200

To simulate years of operation, we subject assembled units to extreme

temperatures, shock and vibrations. This procedure is known as Highly

Accelerated Life Testing (HALT). HALT involves testing a product until it

stops working. We want to know the weaknesses of our products – so

we can improve them and turn them into strengths. Our HALT testing

comprises:

• Simulation of many years of use within a short period of time

• Extreme temperature, shock and vibration tests:

– Temperature: -50°C to 105°C

– Temperature and vibration combined: 55 G from -40°C to 105°C

– Temperature change: 70°C per minute

How you benefit from our testsOur comprehensive test programme is the key behind the durability and

quality of our entire range of controllers. Combined, our tests and design

of the AGC 200 will have you experience a new level of robustness and

reliability.

Our test facilities and gas and diesel test engines are among the most

advanced in the business. They enable us to provide you with the following

advantages:

• Intensive testing possibilities throughout the entire development process

• Testing of product updates• Products in serial production continuously subject to verication tests

• Easy access to facilities for simulating and recreating real-life impacts

(electrical noise from other switchboard units, lightning, etc.)

Meeting your expectationsClassication societies visit us regularly to re-approve our production facilities,

laboratories and products. We also carry out non-classication tests. The

purpose of such tests is to make sure that customer expectations are met not

just regarding classication standards, but also in terms of more application-specic demands concerning robustness, functionality, design, etc.

Easy to operateThe graphic display features a multi-language interface. Combined with a

number of operator function keys, the interface allows you direct and easy

access to your preferred views, parameters, controls, etc.

Life-time logging, parameter les and documentation can be stored on the SD

card for further data analysis or collection – even if the controller is damaged.

Simply insert the SD card in the controller and follow the instructions in the

display (SD card features do not apply to the rst release). You do not need

a PC to communicate with your controller. Nor do you need a PC to upgrade

your application software.
