AFTER USE SOP
CLEANING THE SKIN & REMOVING ADHESIVE RESIDUES 1. The arm skin may be washed with clean water.2. Alcohol can be used to remove the residues from adhesive tapes, dressing and etc.
FLUSHING THE VEIN SYSTEM & THE BOTTLES1. Before storage, the vein system must be flushed through with warm water to prevent mould growth.2. Fill the first bottle with warm water and attach the bulb and tube. Set up the infusion arm, connecting both veins to both bottles.3. Pump the bulb to begin flushing the system. Allow all of the water to flush through the system and pass into the second bottle. Once done, depressurise the system and empty the bottles.
EMPTY THE VEIN SYSTEM OF BLOOD & DISCONNECT THE VEINS FROM THE BOTTLES
1. After use, pump the bulb until blood has collected in one bottle and the vein system is empty.2. Depressurise the system by opening the orange cap on the bulb and allow air to escape. Once the system has depressurised, close the orange cap.3. Disconnect both veins from both bottles before transportation or storage. To disconnect, turn blue connectors anti-clockwise and pull out of the bottle valves.4. When not in use, the bottles should be completely emptied of blood and washed out.
