The Sperre 30-year Warranty

The Certificate of Conformity and Authenticity All original Sperre parts are supplied with a certificate of conformity and authenticity. Sperre compressors have a limited warranty that is valid only with use of original spare parts purchased through our Sperre offices in Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore or China.

Don’t lose your warranty or Classification! Please note that the warranty will be void if the equip-ment is misused or not handled in accordance with prescribed operating and service standards.

Sperre starting air compressors are designed to fulfil requirements from classification companies and are not supposed to operate continuously.

Sperre type approval and classification certificates are only valid when genuine Sperre spare parts are used for maintenance.

The spare-part kits include the wear parts you must change when you overhaul the compressor. For example, if you replace a valve, you must always change the copper rings at the same time, to prevent later breakdown caused by leakage between the LP and HP chambers.

1 Gasket kit All flat gaskets, O-rings, sealing rings, and valve copper gaskets.

2 Crankshaft Crankshaft with all bearings, flywheel key and nut. On air-cooled compressors also locking rings, endplate and screw. 3 Valves Valves and necessary copper rings and gaskets. 4 Piston Piston, gudgeon pin with locking rings and piston rings. 5 Connecting rod Connecting rod and bearings. On air- cooled compressors: also oil scoop with set screw. 6 Lubrication oil pump Complete lube. oil pump, connector, gasket and set screw.

7 Cooling water pump Complete pump, connector, gasket and set screw.

8 Cylinder head Cylinder head with gaskets, stud bolts/ nuts and fittings. 9 Cylinder block Cylinder block with gaskets, stud bolts/ nuts and fittings. 10 Cylinder for air-cooled comp. Cylinder with gaskets, stud bolts/nuts and fittings. 11 Flexible coupling disc Coupling disc with bolts and nuts. 12 Overhaul kit B (5 000-hours’ maintenance for air-cooled compressors). Valve maintenance kits with gaskets and guide rings, piston rings, connecting rod bearings, gudgeon pins, locking rings, gaskets and ventilator.

13 Overhaul kit C (10 000-hours’ maintenance for air- cooled compressors). Same as kit B, plus crankshaft bearings and seal ring.

14 Overhaul kit D (5 000-hours’ maintenance for water- cooled compressors). Gasket kit, piston rings, gudgeon pins, gudgeon bearings, valve maintenance kits and non-return valve insert. 15 Overhaul kit E and F (10 000-hours’ maintenance for water- cooled compressors). Same as kit D, plus all crankshaft bearings.

16 Anti-condensation kit II Cooler cover with built-in water separator, with necessary stud bolts/nuts, gaskets and fittings.

17 Valve overhaul kit Valve springs, plates, fixing pins and gaskets

18 Environment kit The crankcase oil breather kit return oil mist to the air inlet of the compressor.
