See the assignment details on the course web page for technical specifications. Composition!New Composition. Make the background black or white. Layer!New Solid. Make it the opposite of the background. Depending on how

big you want to make the shape, you might want the layer to be bigger than the

    composition.

Select the mask tool. It is the one selected below. Choose either rectangle orellipse from the menu that appears when you hold the tool button down.

Draw the mask. Only use circles and rectangles. To get a circle, while using theellipse mask tool, hold down the Shift key.

In the timeline, click on the triangles to show and hide the layers properties.Open the Transform properties.

Clicking on the stopwatch icon turns on keyframes for that property. The layers anchor point is, by default in the center of the layer. (Remember, the

shapes you see are actually just the visible portions of whole layers that cover the

entire composition.) If you move the anchor point, it will appear to move thewhole layer. Thats because the layers position is determined in relation to its

anchor point. So, if I want a line to spin like a helicopter blade, I need to movethe anchor point so its in the center of the line, rather than in the center of the

layer. Keyframes can be copied and pasted within a layer and between layers. You can change motion paths using Bezier curves. Just grab the handles in the

    composition window and move them.

Easy Ease eases motion in and out. To use it, select the keyframe(s) and chooseAnimation!Keyframe Assistant!Easy Ease (or Easy Ease In or Easy Ease

Out). To control how the computer

interpolates between two keyframes(the default is for the rate of change of a

propertys value between keyframes tobe constant), you can open the graph

editor. Highlight the property andselect the Graph Editor button. Its the

one that looks like a graph with aportion of a sine wave on it.
