Introduction

So, we’re convinced that we can provide the best security for you house, but for those people that think they need that little bit more security with a hiding place, we have created a list of our 6 favourite places. In this SlideShare we’ll give away some of the coolest home hacks you can do, so you can stash away your valuables and be super secure!



The Paint Can

The first in our list of hiding spots has to be an empty paint tin! Who on earth is going to look in a paint can for valuables? This also works really well when you have a large number of paint tins in your garage; no burglar is going to route through all your magnolia’s looking for things!



The Old Vacuum

We, as humans, are all secret hoarders and will have an old vacuum gather dust in a lonely corner or up in the attic.

But remove the bag and hey presto, you’ve just got a cracking little hiding spot for important documents.



The Tin of Beans that’s Not a Tin of Beans

These novelty items can now be bought online and those pointless shops that pop up over Christmas, but in reality, they can be rather useful!

On the outside, it’s your favourite tin of beans or can of coke, but pop the lid and it’s a little hiding spot for stashing 20’s for those rainy days.



The Book Safe – Classic

The Book Safe, probably the most iconic hiding spot EVER. More often than not this is seen with the pages carved out to leave space for a small gun in the movies. Carve out a rectangle shaped cavity and there you go. No one is going to route through your personal library and find all your treasured items hiding away in your copy of Wuthering Heights!



The Drawer within a Drawer-Drawer

Everybody needs a drawer within a drawer-drawer. Not only are they useful but pretty simple to do! All you need to do is find your deepest drawer and add a thin wooden strip, however deep you want the secret compartment, around the inside edges.

Then just lay a thin sheet of wood on top and there you go… go on, hide your passports in there!



The Plant Pot

Let’s face it, it can’t be safe hiding your spare door key under your door mat, or even under the plant pot anymore! If you have a plant pot to re-create the drawer trick and make a little compartment underneath all the soil!

Ta Da! Then store your millions in there!



So there you go, your super safe house has now just become even safer thanks to our few little hacks! Now take advantage of a couple of these and don’t put your eggs in one basket!
