GLOBAL CITIZEN COURSE IN KENYA In this course, participants will look at how the world works – and isn’t working. Participants will learn rst-hand from local activist. We will arm you with the skills necessary to navigate the issues deeply embedded within Kenyan society. The Global Citizen Course in Kenya is a unique opportunity to combine your interest in development and understanding the Kenyan community and learn how to tackle global and local issues. Through participation in local projects and dialogue with young Africans, we challenge our own and each other’s philosophies and prejudices, and gain new understandings of what it means to be a citizen in a modern globalized world. You will meet many interesting people and you have the opportunity to combine safari with alternative excursions and a new cultural and political insight. The course will give you new perspectives on East Africa in regards to politics and development, art and creativity, and communications. You will be challenged both culturally, physically and mentally when meeting the Kenyan culture, dancing with the local Masai and creating individual documentation projects. The Global Platform Kenya is situated in the scenic surroundings at the foot of Mount Kenya, where the Masai herd their cattle. Come join us in a 3-week summer course that will be both challenging, inspiring and a personal eye-opening experience. LOCATION: Global Platorm Mt.
