AFLS+P Overview

Interior DesignWe treat interior design as an intrinsic part of the design process and ensure that our interior specialists are involved throughout the development of a project. By considering the interior spaces early in the development process, we are able to arrive at exciting and creative solutions sooner and integrate them more effectively and economically into the project. We believe that the interior spaces of our buildings should go beyond mere function and should provide invigorating, inspiring spaces for occupants and visitors.

Design & Delivery To help each client capture the vision and successfully deliver their project requirements, we are able to bring knowledge, experience and the necessary skills throughout the projects journey from inception to completion. We are able to make a highly valuable contribution to identifying the overall project strategic needs and to the development of the project brief. This process sets a secure foundation for the subsequent design and delivery stages and for the smooth running of each project, regardless of scale.

Sport England

The AFLS+P team have over 25 years, developed a deep understanding of the design and technical requirements of sports facilities to the extent that they are proud to have worked alongside Sport England for the past seven years to prepare design guidance for the planning and design of new sports facilities. The Design Guidance Notes (published and downloadable from the Sport England website), provide clients, stakeholders and building professionals with the key information, during the feasibility, design and delivery processes, required for successful facility design. The preparation of each document required an in depth knowledge of the subject matter and informed consultation with governing bodies, industry experts and other key stakeholders.

The Design Guidance Notes form an essential resource to designers, operators and users of sports facilities across the country. The basis and manner in which they are written is in order to encourage and increase participation in sport through good design practices. In so doing they can act as a catalyst to ensure that facilities are regularly used by all members of the community in a whole range of diverse activities.
