SLIDE 3 – ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT AS PART OF THE AIR FORCE MATERIEL COMMAND, HNC IS A GEOGRAPHICALLY SEPARATED UNIT OF THE AFLCMC DIRECTORATE, C3I & NETWORKS AT HANSCOM AFB NEAR BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS. WE REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE PEO WHO IS ORGANIZATIONALLY ALIGNED TO BOTH AFLCMC/CC AND SAF/AQ. OUR STRENGTH LIES WITHIN OUR WORKFORCE THAT CONSISTS OF OVER 1200 PERSONNEL COMPRISED OF CIVILIAN, MILITARY AND CONTRACTORS. DUE TO HNC’S SIZE AND SCOPE, WE ARE ORGANIZED MUCH LIKE A WING WITH AN UPPER SML AS THE DIVISION CHIEF, WHO IS DIRECTLY SUPPORTED BY A DEPUTY CHIEF, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND TWO LOWER SMLs. WE HAVE FUNCTIONAL LEADS IN CONTRACTING, ENGINEERING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. WE RECENTLY ESTABLISHED A DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT SUPPORT WHO LEADS OUR OVERALL PRODUCT SUPPORT AND LOGISTIC EFFORTS AND ELEVATES OVERALL PRODUCT SUPPORT SUSTAINMENT MANAGEMENT TO EQUAL STATUS OF THE ACQUISITION SML’s FOR THE HNC PORTFOLIO.
