Introduced among Afghans in 1965 Officially recognized by the Afghan Olympic

Committee in the year 1981 Got membership of the ITTF in the year 2004 Became the 200th member of the ITTF

There are as many as 25 active clubs with around 320 players in capital Kabul, some f which are: Olypic Committee Club Red Crescent Society Club Kabul Orphanage Club Kabul University Club Azadi Printing Press Club Pol-e-Technic Club etc.

There are more than 68 clubs with around 1300 players in other provinces of Afghanistan, most notable of which are:

Kam Air club in Balkh province Rabia Balkhi club in Balkh province Jami club in Herat province Ebn-e-Yamin club in Jowzjan province Abdali club in Kandahar province

Construction of one fully equipped academy in capital Kabul and four academies in four different zones of the country and one office in Kabul.

100 complete sets of standard tables 500 complete sets of rickets 200 field separators 30 sets of chairs for referees 500 kits, upper and trousers 500 bags 500 towels
