Synopsis: The SS550:2009 was introduced in Feb 2010 to replace the older SS CP2 which was last amended in 2004. Since then, some changes to the SS550 were also done to further improve the code. Apart from this, the development in the building industry has also brought in several difficult maers that are affecng the smooth handling of the liſt projects, such as works which were more efficiently handled by others; the design of the proper and safer access for maintenance of liſts; the oſten-used private liſt lobbies which are well-liked by architect / developer but posing ‘security’ and inconvenience problems to the residenal occupiers and liſt maintenance personnel; and lastly the recently introduced fire detector at all liſt lobbies. This seminar aims to provide the audience with not just the major differences between the SS CP2 and the latest SS550, but also the awareness and understanding on the several important maers that are affecng the liſt industry praconers.
