DESCRIPTION

Within this intensive and practical program to become an adventure guide, students will develop their interpretation, orientation and survival abilities in a natural environment. They will also have the chance to participate in various summer and winter expeditions throughout the province of Quebec. A three week major expedition abroad as well as two internships within the Work-Study Program are also planned to integrate acquired skills. ADMISSION CRITERIA

Have a training deemed sufficient and meet one of the following admission criteria: Have interrupted studies for at least one academic year or two sessions OR Have completed at least one year of postsecondary education

LANGUAGE PREREQUISITE

The following table shows the minimum level of French required for admission. This will also favour integration and academic achievement at Merici.

If the minimum level of French required is not attained, the student will receive a proposal to upgrade it based on his linguistic profile and that must completed before starting the program.
