Reading Partners helps children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized instruction with measurable results. The Literacy Challenge In 2021-22, we will implement our program through our traditional one-on-one in-person tutoring model as well as through Reading Partners Connects, an online platform that allows community volunteers to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to students regardless of where they learn. In addition, we are providing our students with access to a digital library full of culturally relevant texts as well as a wide range of family engagement opportunities. This school year, we are committed to serving 950 students while partnering with 21 schools and 1 innovation site across Washington, DC, engaging over 1,300 community volunteers.
