Overview

This one-day program will provide neonatologists and neonatal healthcare providers with the most up-to-date information on a variety of complex physiologic issues in neonatology. Research and technology are constantly expanding. This program will review some of the latest therapies used in treating the sick neonate.

General Information

The conference will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in the Ruth and Tristram Colket, Jr. Translational Research Building on the Raymond G. Perelman Campus. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The $125 registration fee includes continental breakfast, buffet lunch and program materials.

Objectives

Upon completion of this CME activity, participants will be able to:1. Describe advances in fetal surgery over two decades

2. Describe the pathophysiology and treatment options for lymphatic disorders in neonates

3. Discuss the consequences of different feeding strategies on outcomes for preterm infants

4. Recognize the impact of the opioid crisis on perinatal morbidity by understanding prenatal and neonatal management

5. Describe the potential use of a vaccine to prevent perinatal GBS infection

6. Explain the utility of new radiological techniques for evaluating neonates

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia reserves the right to cancel or postpone any conference due to any unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of cancellation or postponement, Children’s Hospital will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including charges assessed by airlines, hotels and travel agencies. In order to process refunds, cancellations must be received in writing by Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Refunds will be issued for the amount of registration minus a $25 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued thereafter.

Hotel Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at reduced rates at The Sheraton University City, located just a few blocks from Children’s Hospital. The group overnight rate is $172 single and double occupancy plus a 16.25 percent room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling the hotel directly at 215-387-8000. Please mention the name of the conference when making your reservation. The special room rate will be available until Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
