East Bay Municipal Utility District
EBMUD supplies water to 1.3 million people in the East Bay area (San Francisco Bay) in California
90% of water supply is from Sierra Nevada Mountains
10% is from local watersheds
EBMUD owns and manages: 55,000 acres of watershed, 7 reservoirs, 6 treatment plants, 122 pressure zones (sea level – 1,450 ft), and 3,900 miles of distribution pipe
