COMMUNITY INVOLCEMENTIN NORTHERN COLORADO
We are devoted to investing in local business development and
innovation, and giving back to our neighbors. Below are some
recent examples showing just how committed we are.
Front Range Community College Partnership
We have invested $200,000 in cash and equipment to create the Advanced Energy Electronics Lab housed at the new Center for Integrated Manufacturing at Front Range Community College (FRCC) in Longmont, Colorado. Two of the new degree programs that will be offered at FRCC were created with feedback from us to help develop talent for the Northern Colorado area as well as improving the economic outlook of the state. We are committed to providing internships, scholarships and jobs in our community.
Service Center Scholarship Program
We offer a scholarship program for local students interested in pursuing a two-year technical degree. The purpose of this program is to generate a pipeline of talent and offer opportunities to individuals looking to begin careers in the technical field of electronics manufacturing and repair. We not only offer internship opportunities while the student is in school, but also provide full-time job offers and reimbursement for the cost of tuition upon graduation.
Colorado State University Process Power Research Program
We are collaborating with Colorado State University (CSU) in creating a new Process Power Research Program. We have been represented for years on the advisory board of CSU's electrical and computer engineering department, but this partnership will increase our presence in the CSU College of Engineering with the application of advanced control techniques to emerging process power applications in a one-year program.
University of Colorado Process Power Research Program
We are partnering with the University of Colorado Boulder to investigate applications of advanced power topologies and control techniques for emerging process power applications in a threeyear program, with sponsorship support from AE's Bob Porter Fellowship grant.
