Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry PG Cert /

This is a Postgraduate Certificate programme thatthoroughly explores the most important topics inaesthetic dentistry. It covers scientificdocumentation as well as clinical applications andstep-by-step clinical procedures. It is studiedpart-time over one year (October to July).

 Degree summary 

The programme is designed for dental practitioners who wish to remainat the cutting edge of contemporary dentistry and to be able to meet anddeliver with confidence the restorative needs of patients with highaesthetic expectations.

// The programme places emphasis on acquiring knowledge,understanding and skills in the areas of aesthetic restorations,contemporary biomaterials and evidence-based clinical proceduresand techniques.

// Material is delivered through lectures in a seminar setting, hands-ontraining in lab and clinic in small groups, interactive case studies,treatment planning exercises, and video patient demonstrations.

The programme is delivered through a combination of 50% lectures,interactive seminars and treatment planning, and 50% skills laboratoryand clinical hands-on training. There are two MCQ written exams, anessay and a viva voce oral exam. This is a part-time programme with 24teaching days, usually Thursdays, spread out between October andAugust.

Location: London, Bloomsbury

Students undertake modules to the value of 60 credits. The programmeconsists of two core modules worth 30 credits each.

 Entry requirements 

All applicants must normally hold an approved dental qualification andhave a minimum of one year of clinical experience post-qualification.

English language proficiency level

If your education has not been conducted in the English language, youwill be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level ofEnglish proficiency.

The level of English language proficiency for this programme is: Good.
