Disaster usually leads to uncertainty. Natural disaster, like earthquake, tsunami, landslides, volcanoes, floods usually change the landscape onearth.Therescuemissionsafterward, dependingon thedestruction level, will involve searching for survivors, deploying logistics andmapping thearea to for a better mitigation management. However, doing all thoseactionsmightneedmoreexpensivevehicles, gasolines, andmanpower. Inthisarea, asmartautonomousrobotmighthelp.

ThemajortechnologicaladvancementsoftheFourthIndustrialRevolution,or Industry 4.0, are revolutionizing industrial production. The FirstIndustrialRevolutionwasbasedonmechanizationandsteamengines;thesecondontheuseofelectricityenergyandmassproduction;andthethirdon electronics and information technologies, resulting in a high level ofautomation in manufacturing. Industry 4.0 takes automation ofmanufacturingprocessestoahigherlevelwithsmartautonomoussystemscapableofself-cognition,self-optimization,andself-customization.
Industry 4.0 includes concepts, tools and applications that complement asmartembeddedsystemofmachinesabletocommunicatewitheachotherand people and perform autonomous tasks in industrial productionprocesses. The main tools include cyber-physical systems (CPSs), theInternetofThings(IoT),bigdataandcloudcomputing, autonomousrobots, simulation and visualization models, and additive manufacturing.Automationandroboticsareperceivedaskeycomponents–thearmsandlegs – of Industry 4.0; cameras and other sensors are perceived as thesenses; data and connectivity are compared to the nervous system; andartificial intelligence(AI) isthebrain.AIenhancesindustrialprocessesbyenablingthesynergeticcollaborationbetweenhumansandrobotsinsmartfactoriesformasscustomization.
Industry 4.0 will affect all sectors and disciplines, bringing about astructural transformation in the global economy and leading to a newdivisionoflabour, whichwillhaveahugeimpactondevelopingcountries.Anew wave of outsourcing and in-shoring will be triggered, with newtechnologies,suchasadditivemanufacturingusinginnovationssuchas3Dprinting, rendering some outsourcing unnecessary. In-shoring couldbecome a new trend in industrialized countries, depriving developingcountriesofjobopportunities.

It isasocietythatwillattendindetail tothevarious needs of people, regardless of region, age, sex, language, etc. byproviding necessary items and services. The key to its realization is thefusion of cyber space and the real world (physical space) to generatequality data, and from there create new values and solutions to resolvechallenges.Hence,themainobjectiveofthe4thIndustrialRevolutionistorealizeasocietywherepeopleenjoylifetothefullest.

Deeplearninghasrecentlyachievedverypromisingresultsinawiderangeofareassuchascomputervision, natural languageprocessingandspeechrecognition. In contrast to hand-crafted methods, deep learning aims tolearn hierarchical representations from large-scale data (e.g. images andvideos) via deep architecture models with multiple layers of non-lineartransformations. As compared to hand-crafted features, it is easier toachievehigherperformanceusingthelearnedhierarchicalrepresentations.Theprinciplebehindthesuccessofdeeplearningisthatitisabletoextractdifferentlevelsofabstractionsembeddedinthedatabycarefullydesignthelayer’s depth and width.
