Corruption Perception Index• Corruption Perception Index (CPI) is done by Transparency

International since 1995 toward 177 countries.• It generally define the country level of corruption due to their miss

use power of politician or even the power of the public.• The level is scale from 0(most corrupted) to 100(clean from

corruption)• 13 different survey are done as part of gathering data

What are the implication of this index for US- based companies doing business in this countries?

• Towards corrupted country• Lost of profit due to most user will probably change to local product which

might be cheaper.• Might change the image of company for these kind of country.• Due to above reason, it can also cause lost of trust for some investor and

shareholder in the future .

• Toward less corrupted country• Us based company might have a chance to improve their sales as the product

is easy to be own/consume by most people.• Increase in sale might be best way to recover loss in corrupted country• Getting new investor and shareholder as part of improve sales and marketing.
