Women’s Ministry Leadership Transition
Berean thanks Linda Hilleque for eight years of devoted and
vivacious leadership for our Women’s Ministries. She has
been trustworthy and innovative and she will be missed. She
will continue in her leadership role until May 31st.
Please be in prayer for the Search Committee which is being
formed to find Linda’s successor. In the meantime we are
pleased that Vanessa Edwards will serve as our Interim
Women’s Ministries Director (along with her responsibilities
with Berean Neighborhood Care).
In a tough economy such as ours, we have
many people at Berean who are displaced
workers. We want to offer resources that
could help you find the right job for you.

Heart-to-Heart Visitation Ministry
Berean values our seniors and those who are homebound, and we understand that
many times they may be lonely and in need of company. In an effort to make a
difference in their lives, we have developed a ministry to reach those who would
enjoy having a regular visitor. Members of our Heart-to-Heart Visitation team
meet regularly with the elderly or homebound in their care facilities or homes. In
this way we are able to show love and compassion to our Berean family.
This is also a wonderful opportunity to “Adopt a Grandparent” and include the
whole family in serving others.
If you are interested in learning more about Heart-to-Heart Visitation or know
someone who would like to receive a regular visit, contact Marge Sanborn @
952.435.9051 or [email protected].

Behold, I stand at the
door, and knock: if
any man hear my voice,
and open the door, I
will come in to him,
and will sup with him,
and he with me.

Adult Ministry
Want to Serve? We are recruiting for our next class of Stephen Ministers! A Stephen Minister is a trained servant who comes alongside to meet confidentially, one-on-one, with a person who is having a difficult time in his or her life. This may be due to any life circum-stances including grief, job loss, relationship issues, etc. A Stephen Minister meets once per week to listen, encourage, support, and pray with those who need a Christian friend. If you are a good listener who enjoys encouraging and lifting up those who are hurting, we need you!
Need Help? If life has you down, we can help. We have trained Stephen Ministers available to meet with you once per week to offer you encouragement, support and prayer. Our Stephen Ministers are confidential, non-judgmental, and same gender. They are strong Christian friends who can objectively and effectively listen and care for you through your difficult life situation.
To confidentially explore how Stephen Ministry can make a difference in your life, contact Kari Peterson @ [email protected] or 952.223.1848.
