Venous CannulaeSorin Venous Cannulae are intended to be used as connections to the extracorporeal circuit in cardiopulmonary bypass procedures to drain venous blood from the patient.Sorin Group provides Venous Cannulae solutions suitable for all applications: Our Venous Cannulae are available in single stage and two stage confi gurations with an optimized tip to maximize venous return. The tubing in clear and transparent medical grade, no DOP, atossic PVC, is designed to lower elasticity loss during hypothermia.Size and clamp markings are printed on the tubing, and depth markings are printed on the tubing for easy insertion.An optional phospholipids coating is available to help improve biocompatibility. Only a single Venous Two Stage Cannula is the best choice for drainage of superior and inferior vena cava. The cannula is seated in such a way that the proximal bullet is inside the right atrium and the distal bullet is inside the inferior vena cava.Sorin Group Two Stage Cannulae have two inlet bullets for venous return at a distance of 7 cm from one another to provide superior venous drainage.

Products are available with bent and straight tips with wire and without wire reinforcement, with all connections and optional luer lock for venting.Our Aortic Cannulae are designed to optimize fl ow characteristics, reduce turbulence and minimize pressure loss. The tubing design in clear and transparent, no DOP medical grade PVC has been conceived for a small elasticity loss during hypotermia:

• Size and clamp markings are printed on the tubing• Available with and without wire reinforcement tubing• Includes suture fl ange or collar for better cannula fi xation• Arrow on the suture fl ange shows the direction of the fl ow• 3/8” connection site with tubing connector in PC (polycarbonate)• Female luer lock is available in an up or down position for better air venting • White PE cap with central hole (Ø 0.13mm) is included for air venting during cannula priming

Sorin Antegrade Cannulae are designed to deliver cardioplegia solutions to the heart via the coronary ostia in the normal direction of blood fl ow (antegrade perfusion). Sorin Group offers both aortic root cannulae and coronary ostium cannulae. Aortic root cannulae infuse the cardioplegia solution directly into the aortic root near the aortic valve, while the coronary ostium cannulae are held on or placed in the coronary ostia.

Sorin Aortic Root Cannulae are intended for delivery of cardioplegia solutions for rapid and secure perfusion of the coronary arteries during cardiopulmonary surgeries.They are made with a stainless steel needle and a fl exible, fl anged PVC tip, with a female luer lock connector and with or without a vent line.

Aortic Root CannulaeVent line with 1/4” tubing connector and overpressure safety valve.

Sorin Coronary Perfusion Cannulae are intended to be used to cannulate the

coronary ostium and to deliver cardioplegic solutions during cardiopulmonary surgery.

They are available with stainless steel or PVC tubing and a silicon tip to reduce the

sensitivity to cold fl uid and ensure smooth insertion of the cannula.

The tip is angled at 90° or 135° to easily reach the right and left ostia.

The uniquely-designed soft silicone, 3D tip prevents the cannula from being inserted

too deeply in the coronary ostia and ensures homogeneous perfusion of the

cardioplegic solution, thus reducing the risk of myocardial infarction.
