Irrigation Management Plan
1. Total treated effluent is 810 CMD
2. Total area for irrigation
a. About 65.26 acres of agriculture land adjoining food park is available with our
sister concern company Agri Tech India Limited. An agreement between PMFPL
and Agri Tech India Limited for use of treated effluent from food park on this
land is enclosed herewith as Annexure A.
b. The food park has also 28.48 acres of proposed green belt in which the treated
water will be used for irrigation.
3. Characteristics of treated effluent for inland surface irrigation.
a. The quality of water will be as per the standards notification no. S.O.4 (E) dated
1st January 2016. Notification is attach for reference as Annexure B.

4. Type of Soil:
Type of soil in food park as well as of additional land is as follows.
i. Sandy Loam/ Murum type of soil.
ii. pH is about 5.8 to 7.
iii. The soil has good drainage capacity with adequate fertility.
iv. Bulk Density 1.1 to 1.2 g/cm3.
5. The additional land admeasuring 65 acres proposed for use of treated effluent from
Paithan Mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd. belongs to Agri Tech India Limited which is sister
concern company of Paithan Mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd.. The land is at a distance of 2 km
from Paithan Mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd.. The treated effluent pipeline shall be laid upto
the farm by Paithan Mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd. management. The details of land and
layout are enclosed as Annexure C.
It is proposed to plant crops like Cane or Banana or Maize on this land. The water
requirement for these crops is as under.
Cane – 100 m3/day for 1 acre land at 3 days of interval.
Banana - 100 m3/day for 1 acre land on daily basis.
Maize - 30 m3/day for 1 acre land on daily basis.
In case of Cane plantation the average required land for disposal of treated effluent shall
be as under.

6. Water requirement for proposed Green Belt Development.
a. Area of Green Belt – 28.48 acres.
b. Plants for Green Belt - As proposed in Green belt development plan.
c. Water Requirement for Green Belt Development – About 5 liter of water is
required for 1 sqm area on daily basis. The water requirement for Green Belt in
food park shall be 569.6 m3/day. Green Belt plan is attached for reference as
Annexure D.

Annexure D: Green Belt Plan
Greenbelt Development
As per the clause of 33% of total land area should developed as part of green belt, it is
recommended that plantation should be done along the peripheral areas and open spaces
in the buffer zone of the proposed project site. This will help to reduce the noise
pollution, dust spread and also enhances the aesthetic value around the project site.
The expected rate of survival for saplings is assumed at 80%. To improve the survival
rate in the adverse climate condition necessary consultation would be taken from the
Forest department. Proposed plantation area shall be fenced properly for improving the
survival rate. Plantation will be carried out in the lease area in phased manner.
Criteria for selection of species for greenbelt
The plant species suitable for greenbelt development need to be selected based on the
following criteria:
Fast growing
Thick canopy cover
Perennial and evergreen
Large leaf area index
High sink potential
Guidelines for plantation
The plant species identified for greenbelt development should be planted using dug-pit
technique. The pit size should be in between 45 cm x 45 cm x 45 cm to 60 cm x 60 cm x
60 cm depending on the soil quality. Soil proposed to be used for filling the pit should be
mixed with well decomposed farm yard manure or sewage sludge at the rate of 3.6 kg (on
dry weight basis).The filling of soils should be completed at least 5-10 days before the
actual plantation. Healthy seedlings of identified species should be planted in each pit.
Proper density of plants (no. per hectare) should be maintained within the greenbelt.
The minimum distance between two plantations should be dependent on the choice of
species and compatibility of different species to grow together. The distance should be in
between 2.5m to 5m for plantation in greenbelt.
Roadside plantation Minimum of two rows of plants are required for plantation on roadside to minimize the
pollution effects. While planting, care should be taken to ensure that plants in second
row fall in between the two plants of first row.
Selection of plant species
Keeping in view the climatic condition status of soil (Agro climatic zone) and vegetation
types the following plant species are suitable for plantation for the proposed project site.
