Cloud School - Adobe Connect Cheat Sheet

Before the session begins:Please make sure you have your earphones connected. Also make sure your computer has the latest Adobe Flash installed.

Go to website:https://connect.schools.nsw.edu.au/hcccloudschool1

Type your name in the box and click “Enter Room”.

This is what an Adobe room may look like.

Attendees - shows who is in this Adobe Classroom

session.

The hosts will be the teachers.

The participants will be your fellow cloud school

classmates.Countdown: will let you know how long till our session starts.

Remember to be respectful/mindful what you type. Everyone

is able to see/hear what you type/say and each session is also recorded for students to

watch after via the weebly site.Conversation: Use this space to type any questions you have during the session for your teachers to answer.

Speakers: If you can not hear the presenters. Make sure your speaker button is green. Otherwise click on the drop down menu and select unmet my speakers.

Microphone: Presenters may give you microphone rights. If you see a microphone in your Adobe Connect session. Please mute your microphone until instructed by your teacher.

Status Icons: Use these to communicate to the presenters. When you select a status icon it will show up beside your name for a short time.

Troubleshooting

You can’t hear the presentersCheck your earphones are connected and working correctly before the session begins.Check your volume controls on the computer, earphones and Adobe Connect program.

You can’t see the presentersLet the presenters know via the communication/chat.

You have a questionLet the presenters know via the communication/chat.

You got kicked out. No problem. Try to connect back into the session by refreshing your page or closing and reopening the web browser. If you can’t get back in - you can always watch the recorded session via the Cloud Tank weebly later.

You miss/can’t make it to a session.It is up to you to follow up any missed sessions by watching the Adobe Connect session via the Cloud School weebly
