Adobe Connect – Browser Fix
Please use these steps if you find you are strugling to access the Adobe Connect meeting
environment and are getting the messages shown below:
This message appears when you try and connect to an Adobe Connect meeting room and it will not
load up.
The Fix
You will only have to do this once with your browser.
Close (do not just minimise) any web broswer you have open, so the only thing open is your desktop.
Then right click on the browser (likely to be Firefox) that is not working.
Once you right click, please choose to run as administrator.
Enter your MWS username and password if you are prompted with a secondary box.
Your browser should now open as normal.
Navigate to https://connect.liv.ac.uk and login using your MWS username and password
You should be provided with the following message that say Adobe Connect required Flash Player
(even if you have previously installed it).
Choose the Download Flash Player option.
Follow the steps to install the flash player (I recommend unticking the ‘Optional Offer’ in the middle
pane shown below as ticked)
Choose Install now.
Once this has completed you should be prompted to ‘Save file’. Please click this option.
The saved file should now be accessible in the top right corner by clicking on the little down arrow
(in Firefox), there are similar icons in other browsers to view your downloads.
Click on it.
You will then be prompted to run the installer.
You need to choose ‘Allows Adobe to install updates (recommended)’, then click Next.
The install will take a few moments.
Once complete, click finish.
Close any browsers you have open. It may open edge browser please close this.
You should now have nothing open on your computer.
Open Firefox as you normally would.
Your Adobe Connect portal and meeting rooms should now work as expected as shown below.

When on the meeting room, when you first share something such as a microphone, webcam or
screen, you may be asked to reinstall the Adobe Connect add in, which only takes a few seconds and
is done automatically.
