THE APPLICATION PROCESSBaruch College uses the CUNY online application. Students applying to Baruch as freshmen can submit one of two applications at CUNY.EDU/APPLY:

THE GENERAL FRESHMAN APPLICATIONBaruch’s Admissions Office strongly recommends that students complete their freshman application by November 15th to be included among the first phases of admissions decision notifications (which begin in early February). Applications that are completed close to the February 1st due date will receive an admissions decision after those who applied in the Fall months. It takes a minimum of four (4) weeks to process an application once it is complete, so remind your students to apply early!

THE SEEK PROGRAMSearch for Elevation, Education & Knowledge, otherwise known as SEEK, is CUNY’s Equal Opportunity Program meant for students from low income households whose academic performance does not reflect their potential. Students who want to be considered for the program must complete sections 29-32 on the CUNY General Freshman Application.

The Admissions Office strongly recommends that SEEK applicants have the application complete by November 15th.

THE MACAULAY HONORS APPLICATIONThe application for Macaulay Honors is for students who want to be part of an honors program at Baruch College. Students who complete this application are considered for both general admission to the College and for the Honors program therefore, Honors applicants will receive two decision letters.

Macaulay applicants must list Baruch first on their application if we are their top choice.

The application due date for the Macaulay Honors Application is December 1st, 6:00 p.m. Notifications are sent on March 15th.

WE CAN’T SAY IT ENOUGHTell your students to apply early! Last year, over 26,000 students applied to Baruch College. Applications are processed on a rolling basis in the order they are completed, therefore it is in the students’ best interest to complete their applications months before CUNY’s February 1st application due date.

Applications completed after February 1st will be considered if space is still available. Please remember that no transcripts, test scores or recommendations may be sent directly to Baruch. All supporting documents must be sent to the University Application Processing Center (UAPC).

THE HOLISTIC REVIEWBaruch College has a vibrant and dynamic student community and is interested in each applicant’s story. In addition to submitting the high school transcript and standardized scores to UAPC, Baruch College strongly encourages students to complete the Supplemental Application on our website: BARUCH.EDU/UNDERGRAD.

WHAT’S HAPPENING ON CAMPUSCONVOCATION BLOCK PARTYWhat better way to welcome the new freshmen class than with a party? Convocation is held at the end of August, and features a full day of workshops and activities hosted by the Office of Student Life that concludes with a barbecue and street fair on the 25th Street Plaza.

BATTLE OF LEXEach February, Baruch hosts its annual Battle of Lexington basketball doubleheader where the men’s and women’s teams compete against neighboring schools for bragging rights. But it’s not just our basketball teams that have a tradition of winning, Baruch students also get in on the action by joining in the ultimate fan competition, with creative costumes and cheers determining the winner.
