1. Admission criteriaAdmission to UBC is based primarily on your academicrecord. Your admission average will be calculated on our senior level academic subjects. The courses used tocalculate this average vary depending on the feld o study(Faculty or School) you’re applying to. SAT or ACT +Writing scores are also required.

2. Rollin admissions and two-part applicationUBC begins accepting applications in October and a decisionis made once your application is complete. There are twoparts to your application: 1. Apply to the University with

your frst and second choice o program and campus.2. A ter applying, UBC will noti y you o the requireddocuments to submit including SAT/ACT scores, ando fcial transcripts including the frst semester or trimester o your senior year.

Whe wi I be otifed o m acce ta ce?To help ensure a timely admission decision, applicantsshould submit their online application well in advance o the application deadline, pay their application ee, completethe online supplemental application orm, and send allrequired supporting documents to UndergraduateAdmissions as soon as possible. Due to the large number o

America admissio s applications, it can take several weeks to evaluate andprocess a completed application fle.

UBC alsoaccepts applications rom visiting students and rom studentsat accredited institutes o technology or polytechnics.

1. Basis of admission for transfer applicants from colle esand universitiesI you have not taken su fcient courses at the post-secondarylevel to orm the basis o admission (minimum 24 semester credits), you will be evaluated on your fnal secondary schoolgrades and your partial post-secondary studies. Secondaryschool prerequisites are required or some UBC Faculties/programs. Admission is competitive and meeting theminimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

2. Transfer creditTrans er is possible to the 2nd or 3rd year o a UBCprogram, depending on the number o trans erable credits

you have taken — maximum allowable trans er credit is nomore than 50% o the degree program. Trans er credit isdetermined at the time o evaluation and will be includedin the o er o admission.

UBC welcomes applications rom qualifed American students. Please note that you must meet both the generaladmission requirements and the prerequisites or the Faculty/School you are interested in. Admission is competitive,and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

• Graduation from an academic or college-prep program at a US-regionally accredited institution• Four years of English to the Senior Level (not ESL) and three years of math • At least three other full-year senior academic subjects and prerequisites for intended program • Either SAT I or ACT + Writing scores must be submitted in support of your application.

UBC’s institution SAT code is 0965, and its institution ACT code is 5259.• Although not required, additional personal information in support of your application is strongly

recommended. See online supplemental application on page 4.

How much wi it cost to atte d UBC?Tuition ees at UBC compare avourably with similar high-calibre US schools and are the same at UBC Vancouver andUBC Okanagan. Fees are adjusted annually by the Board o Governors and are subject to change. Undergraduate tuitionis charged on a per-credit basis. A typical course load variesby Faculty and ranges rom 30 credits (Arts) to 36 credits(Engineering). The current tuition ee or international

students, including US citizens, is $644.47 CAD per creditor most programs. Fees are higher ($724.00 CAD per credit)or the Sauder School o Business. Di erent tuition ees apply
