Message of Dr. Ishrat Husain (NI)Dean & Director, IBA

IBA doesnt consider itself an old institute rather a learning Organization

that is continuously reinventing itself. We have introduced new programs,

transformed ourselves from a purely teaching to research institution,

introduced case study method and experiential learning as new pedagogical

tools, set up a centre for Entrepreneurial development, extended outreach

to the community and businesses. In doing so we had to invest massively in

infrastructure and ICT., recruit top quality faculty many of them either holding

PhDs from best universities around the globe or in the process of pursuing

PhD.

Our motto to prepare the leaders for tomorrow is practically translated through

a holistic personality development of our students combining competencies with

character and commitment. Our need blind admission policy and National Talent

Hunt program have enabled many financially challenged students from backward

districts to move up in the social ladder.

also acquaints them with the essential concepts of Social Sciences and

Liberal Arts.

Bachelor of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship)

A 4-year degree program developed in partnership with Babson College

of Entrepreneurship in Boston (USA). The programs develop students

abilities to formulate, explore and create ideas. It trains them to analyze

disciplinary and inter-disciplinary subjects, and provides hands-on

experience in industry, for applying the knowledge and training to

generate and sell ideas in the real world.

ICAP and Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, this 4-year

an academic degree that leads to a professional qualification. An

exemption of 12 Exams of AFC and CAF (Old Module A to D) will be

for students interested in pursuing Masters or PhD in Economics and

Mathematics.

Bachelor of Science (Social Sciences and Liberal Arts)

A 4-year degree program with majors being offered in Political Science,

Psychology, and Media & Communication Studies. The program is

designed to develop in students the theoretical, historical, and experiential

knowledge necessary to understand how we interact with our social

world in local and global contexts. The program focuses on how students

can use strategies and frames of social analysis to understand and

critique our increasingly interrelated economic and politically mediated

lives. Courses that comprise the Liberal Arts core introduce students to

a selected range of traditional academic disciplines that comprise the

liberal arts and sciences. Through these courses, students will acquire

comprehensive skills in both qualitative and quantitative thinking and

analysis before they engage their major field of specialization.
