The academic program
The Post Graduate Program in Business (PGPB) is a full-time program that brings to India’s business and financial capital the expertise of SDA Bocconi School of Management in delivering top class management education.
The program is designed to build responsible, reliable and effective business leaders. It gives participants the chance to start a successful career or to enhance their work experience by nurturing personal growth and fostering professional development. It offers the experience, the international outlook and the multicultural environment essential for an international career in a global economy.The combination of theory and practice encourages students to have a creative and problem-solving approach; the international exposure educates them to succeed at a local and global level as well as to have a grasp over cultural intricacies.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be awarded a MISB Bocconi PGPB certificate and aSDA Bocconi Diploma in International Business.
Orientation WeekThe PGPB Program starts with an a Orientation Week, to give participants a first insight on the essence of the Program and to make them acquainted with the School, curriculum, students’ services and classmates.
The Opening Week is structured into five days:

A distinctive features of the PGPB is the opportunity to spend a semester at Bocconi University in Milano, Italy. From
September to December, in their second module of the PGPB, MISB Bocconi students will take 4 electives in Milano,
chosen amongst the over 200 courses accessible in every semester, in order to design their own specialized track.
Moreover, trough this experience, PGPB students will have a unique occasion to

EXCHANGE SEMESTER IN BOCCONI, MILANO
InternationalExposure and Specialization
MISB Bocconi offers selected candidates the opportunity to spend one month at top international business school (Campus Abroad) and an entire semester at Bocconi in Milano (Exchange), to specialize and to further enrich their curriculum and personal skills.
CAMPUS ABROADThis is a 3-week summer program organized by Bocconi in co-operation with top universities around the world. It is an intensive
experience that offers the opportunity to explore new countries, gain new insights and work on real business cases. The program
aims to create a bridge between conceptual theories, methodologies and techniques taught in class and their application to
real case studies in organizations, public institutions and companies. It also aims to familiarize students with the international
environment through lectures and meetings with local institutions and the business community. The program is intended for
students who want to enrich their academic curriculum with a stimulating experience as well as to gain deeper insight into
international issues in a particular geographic area.
The program provides:

PERSONAL ORIENTATION LAB
A model to assess personal attitudes consisting in a group work session and an individual meeting. The aim is helping students
to identify their own characteristics in terms of personal aptitudes and professional vocation.
SESSIONS ON EFFECTIVE CV AND COVER LETTERThis class workshop helps students writing an effective CV and a high impact cover letter, the basic requirements for a successful
job search. This is also an opportunity to discuss with CDS staff any professional career plans and how to apply successfully.
INTERVIEWING WORKSHOP AND MOCK INTERVIEWSStudents have to be prepared to perform at best during one of the crucial moments of the job search: the interview.
During tailored and specific seminars at MISB Bocconi, PGPB students will learn the strategies and skills that allow them to
actually break a job interview and they have an opportunity to practice what learnt.
TRAINING SEMINARS ON SOFT SKILLSStudents take part in experiential skill-building workshops, focusing on:

Close connection with the corporate world is guaranteed throughout the Program to teach PGPB students how to tackle real, complex problems, blending together the knowledge and skills from different functional areas. It is crucial that participants put into practice the theory acquired, broadening horizons and enhancing management skills.
SUMMER PROJECTSAfter the first 3 terms of classes, students undertake a 2-month summer project, amongst the following:■ In-company Individual Internship or Group Project: on-the-job experience in a company/institution, in India or abroad■ Entrepreneurial Project: business plan development, start-up organization or business development project■ Research Project: writing an original research paper under the supervision of a faculty member, even in the framework of
the MISB Bocconi Centers of Excellence.
FOCUS ON PROFESSIONS In class seminars focused on different industrial sectors and business functions. Company representatives have the opportunity to share the actual employment experience with students and explore their expectations. Professionals working abroad can give their contribution via videoconference.
CORPORATE CONNECT A one-month consultancy-like project that will allow PGPB student teams to analyze and propose solutions to real business issues specified by companies and guided by MISB Bocconi faculty members.

The selection process is based on an overall analysis of various factors. On one hand, it evaluates soft skills and talents, such as enthusiasm, ability to listen, concentration, involvement, responsibility, motivation to grow as a manager and a person. On the other hand, applicants must also score well on formal admission requirements: bachelors degree and test scores. Admission to the PGPB depends on a rigorous selection process, meant not only to determine whether candidates are suitable for the program, but also whether the program will meet each candidate’s expectations and career goals.

Application and admission
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline. Previous work experience is not required, but
can be considered as an asset. Management experience, leadership potential, entrepreneurial experience,
communication skills, creativity and involvement in community and extracurricular activities are additional
considerations.

Personal Admissions Interviews are run in Mumbai or in other cities, following an initial pre-selection based on the
dossier. Admission results are communicated to the candidates in writing, taking up to 4 weeks from each round’s
deadline. Deferment may be requested by the candidate for the year following the application, but confirmation
of admission is at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. The School does not provide individual answers to
non-admitted candidates.

COSTS OF OTHER ACTIVITIES:■ Campus Abroad: the average fee is about Euro 2,600/3,200 and includes tuition, accommodation for the entire duration of
the program, use of Campus facilities, transportation for compulsory activities, on-site Program Manager and organizing costs.
Airfares and other costs not included
■ Exchange semester in Bocconi: no additional tuition fees are requested.
The average living costs in Milano, Italy are:
- Housing : between 500 and 900 Euro per month
- Food : a meal at the university canteen is approx 10 Euro
- Public transportation: a monthly pass is approx 22 Euro for students under 26 years of age or approx 35 Euro for students
over 26 years of age.
Scholarships & financial aid The School assists candidates in their search for funding, by supplying the necessary documentation and encourages them to explore all scholarships and loans possibilities in time.
MISB Bocconi offers merit-based tuition waivers to candidates with an outstanding profile. Selection is carried out by a
Committee whose decision about numbers, amount and recipients is final and unquestionable. In addition, a limited number of
Dean’s Awards may be granted to admitted students not qualifying for other scholarships, based on needs’ assessment
