L6707(P)/15 ENGLAND — South Coast — Approaches to Portsmouth and
Portsmouth Harbour — Works.

1. Work on the Capital Dredge Programme in Portsmouth Approach Channel has commenced. Over the next 12 months extensive dredging operations and associated activities will be
conducted within, and alongside the approach channel to Portsmouth Harbour.
2. Special buoys have been deployed approximately 20m east of the Bravo Trot mooring buoys
(the trot being on the opposite side of the channel to Middle Slip Jetty HMNB) within
Portsmouth Harbour.
3. Until the works are complete, mariners should exercise caution in the area as, temporarily,
Admiralty Charts may not reflect the latest information. Charts will be updated when works
are complete.
4. Mariners are advised to contact the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth for the latest information and to consult Local Notices to Mariners for updates on progress.

1. Following completion of the Southampton Approach Channel Dredge Project in November
2014, further consideration is being given to buoy positions in Southampton Water.
Navigational channel limits in the Hook buoy area, given recent widening, are under review
and the Hook buoy has been moved to a temporary position.
2. Until this review activity is complete, mariners should exercise caution in the area as,
temporarily, Admiralty Charts may not reflect the latest information. Charts will be updated
on final completion of the review.
3. Mariners are advised to consult Local Notices to Mariners issued by ABP Southampton which
will provide updates on progress and further details.

5. Work on the Capital Dredge Programme in Portsmouth Approach Channel has commenced. Over the next 12 months extensive dredging operations and associated activities will be
conducted within, and alongside the approach channel to Portsmouth Harbour.
6. Special buoys have been deployed approximately 20m east of the Bravo Trot mooring buoys
(the trot being on the opposite side of the channel to Middle Slip Jetty HMNB) within
Portsmouth Harbour.
7. Until the works are complete, mariners should exercise caution in the area as, temporarily,
Admiralty Charts may not reflect the latest information. Charts will be updated when works
are complete.
8. Mariners are advised to contact the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth for the latest information and to consult Local Notices to Mariners for updates on progress.
