Grading Policy

• Attend lectures and discussion sessions• Suggested Homework problems are

provided weekly, solved and discussed during discussion sessions.

• No homework submission• There are 5 quizzes based on lecture

notes and homework problems• Exams are only on the defined dates and

there is no replacement exam.

Grading Policy

• Textbook:Digital Design, Frank Vahid, Wiley 2007

• Reading assignment is provided every week. Sample quizzes are provided.

• Quizzes are at the end of lecture for 20-30 minutes.

• Grades:– Quizzes (35%)

• lowest grade quiz is dropped– Midterm (30%)- Thursday Feb 4, 2010 in class– Final (35%)- March 18, 2010, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

• Use NoteBoard to check announcements and submit your questions.

• Office hours by TA and instructor- check the course website

Discussion Sessions

• Will have discussion sessions on Wed and Fri this week– I will review the Boolean Algebra

• From next week, TA will take over the discussion sessions.
