Judeo Espaniol (Ladino, ebreo) is a Jewish Spanish language which until recently, was widely spoken throughout the Balkans, Turkey, the Middle East, and North Africa, having been brought there by Jewish refugees fleeing the area today known as Spain. It is based on old Spanish.
