adidas x FIFA 21 Brief To launch the X Ghosted football boot during 2020 in the gaming space, by delivering a 360 activation to specifically build brand equity amongst MENA gaming audiences. Target audience: Age 16 to 35 years, with an affinity for gaming, esports and football (resonating with the X Ghosted product range) Strategy PLG developed a fully immersive brand activation to reach gaming audiences, through the licensing of EA FIFA ’21. We delivered a branded ecosystem in the form of an esports tournament, spread over 4 weeks, attracting 5000 players to participate in the FIFA tournament. Participants competed down to a pool of the ELITE 32, who then went on to play in groups with leading influencers and regional pro players. Supporting the activation was a full range of long form and short form content platforms, interwoven with unique purchase codes, distributed through social media to drive engagement and reward participation. Results Participants: 6,682 Impressions: 32.33 Million Engagement: 80K Unique Viewers: 650K Engagement Rate: 12.3% Earnt PR Coverage Value: $75K
