USP Class VI*Master Bond has a full range of specialty adhesives, epoxies, polyolefi n primers, UVcurables and silicones that have been fully tested to meet USP Class VI requirements.Master Bond systems are incredibly versatile and can be used for both disposable andreusable medical devices. It should be noted that Class VI compliance does notautomatically mean the system can be used a priori in a medical device. Meticulous care and attention must be paid to all FDA regulations regarding medical devices and their constituents. Our Class VI certifi cation can be considered a strong indication that Master Bond adhesive systems will not cause problems when the device is submitted to the FDA for approval. Independent verifi cations of Master Bond testing is also stronglyrecommended.*Applies to all products listed in this catalog
ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity Certified**Medical grade adhesives, sealants, coatings and potting/encapsulation compounds must be non-toxic, show compatibility with blood and bodily fl uids and be biologically inert. U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI and ISO 10993 are two standard tests used to determine their suitability. ISO 10993-5 tests are conducted by a well known independent testing lab and confi rm the products listed below are in full compliance with this standard. Specifi cally, they are considered non-cytotoxic and meet the requirements of the Elution Test, ISO 10993-5 guidelines. These test results should only be used as a guideline and do not guarantee FDA approval. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure FDA approval for each specifi c application. It is strongly recommended that further investigation be conducted to confi rm Master Bond’s results.**Applies to select products listed in this catalog

White PaperLIBRARY
Master Bond's research and development team has published a wide variety of white papersregarding the most pressing topics within the adhesive industry. Our white papers helpengineers understand important criteria considerations in adhesive selection.Below is a sample of the white papers we o er:
Finding the Right Medical AdhesiveSelecting the right adhesive is a balancing act as engineers attempt to fi nd products that meet confl icting end-use and manufacturability requirements. Medical device engineers also have to contend with a strict regulatory environment and therefore often have the toughest time striking that balance.
Innovative Medical Adhesives Simplify and ImproveFastening in Medical DevicesModern adhesives o er medical device engineers a leg up with new options to simplifyfastening and improve performance as medical devices and materials continue to advance. When faced with the often hostile environments of human bodies and hospitals, modern,well-designed structural medical adhesive compounds can be used safely for disposableand reusable medical devices.
When to Use a Fast Cure AdhesiveFast cure adhesives are a great way to reduce assembly costs but engineers would be wise to question the need for speed when selecting adhesives. In this white paper, Master Bond provides an overview of the di erent types of fast cure adhesives, including one and two part epoxies, one and two part silicones, cyanoacrylates and UV curables.
