Beryl Woodbridge We remain COVID free!!!
Unexpected events, especially those that bring challenges, show us who we truly are. The COVID-
19 pandemic is one of these experiences, that has been devastating, yet we have remained positive
and hopeful. When we began the process of controlled procedures, we never imagined we would
be experiencing its effects three months later. This has been a dreadful virus that has had an impact
on the whole world, leaving no one unaffected.
While this unprecedented time has distanced us from family and friends, limited our activities and
social connections and has us following procedures we never imagined, it has shown us we are
more resilient than we thought. We have embraced technology and learned to use platforms such
as Zoom and Facetime to have live interactions, social media like Facebook to view events, and
talked over the phone. We have engaged with each other on more personal levels due to the lim-
ited size of gatherings and social distancing, checked in with one another to minimize isolation and
exhibited more patience and caring because we can sympathize. The creative ideas that have been
formed, like the Mother’s Day Parade and the donations we have received, (thank you for the cloth
masks) show the selflessness and generosity of others.
I have always believed that our community was special and that the culture we have here is unparal-
leled, but these last several months have shown that we are unique and extraordinary. I am blessed
and honored to be surrounded by such amazing individuals! The list is endless as to what makes this
true, but what stands out the most, is how you, our associates, and families have continued to perse-
vere and remain strong. The lifestyles everyone is accustomed to have changed (and we know how
we all love change) and yet these challenges are met and overcome. The policies and procedures we
have in place are supported and adhered to. The health and safety of you and our associates remain
our top priority. The unwavering trust in that we are doing what is best is humbling.
As we continue to follow the recommendations and guidance from the CDC and local and state
health departments, I will keep you updated with any modifications. Thank you, thank you, thank
you for all of your support and all that you do to make this the most desired place to be…home.
Wishing all of the fathers a very Happy Father’s Day!
Warmly,
Shawn Halla

Can you believe that May has come and gone? I can’t decide if it feels like the longest
month or shortest month EVER? Thank you to all of you as you continue to follow
the guidelines. It makes my job easier when speaking with potential residents. It is ra-
re a community can brag about being COVID FREE!
Although I don’t have people coming in to visit us at our beautiful community, I am
so honored to be a part of things like our Mother’s Day parade. It was an amazing
show of support for our residents and families alike! If you are a social media user or
your family is, make sure you are following us on Facebook. It is a great way for eve-
ryone to safely see what we are up to during this time including clips from that pa-
rade. Thank you again for the smiles and diligence to the guidelines and Cheers to a
new month! -Misty

Greetings from the Concierge Team!
We have faced many challenges in the past several months, and we would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce you to the Community Store located directly behind the Concierge Desk for some of your shopping needs.
We have a variety of muffins for just $1.50 each! You can choose from Blue-berry, Coffee Cake Crumble, and for the true chocolate lovers, Double Choco-late Chip! Are you craving an ice cream treat? How about an Ice Cream Bar for $1.00 or an Ice Cream Sandwich for just 50 cents!
Did your doctor tell you to drink more fluids?? We carry two sizes of bottled water, a variety of juices, & Gatorade to keep you hydrated at all times.
Perhaps you would like a soda break! We have several varieties of your favor-ite sodas. And at 75 cents a can, you won’t find a better deal anywhere else!
Did a friend or family member’s birthday sneak up on you? No worries! We have increased our inventory of birthday cards along with many others for special occasions. They are all $2.50 each!
Do you have a specific item you would like us to stock in the store that we are not presently carrying? Let us know and we will see what we can do! We’ve tried new things in the past – some worked, some didn’t – but we are always willing to entertain new ideas!
In addition to the above-mentioned items, we have candy, gift items, paper products, toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. Please keep in mind we are a rel-atively “small” store with limited space, so we may only stock “one” of certain items at a time. If demand increases, we will do our best to increase our in-ventory!
Save yourself a trip to the Post Office. We can weigh and stamp your packag-es for mailing, and we also sell books of stamps! Come by to check us out and let us know how we can meet your needs. And don’t forget to wear your masks!

Why do I have a variety of friends who are all so different in character?
How is it possible that I can get along with them all? I think that each one
helps to bring out a “different” part of me.
With one of them I am polite. With another I joke, with another I can be a
bit naughty...I can sit down and talk about serious matters with one. With
another I laugh a lot. I listen to one friend’s problems. Then I listen to an-
other one’s advice for me. My friends are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
When completed, they form a treasure box. A treasure of friends? They
are my friends who understand me better than I understand myself.
They’re friends who support me through good days and bad. Real Age
doctors tell us that friends are good for our health. Dr. Oz calls them Vita-
min F (for Friends) and counts the benefits of friends as essential to our
well-being. Research shows that people in strong circles have less risk of
depression and terminal strokes. If you enjoy Vitamin F constantly you
can be up to 30 years younger than your real age. The warmth of friend-
ship stops stress and even in your most intense moments, it decreases the
chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50%. I’m so happy that I have a
stock of Vitamin F!
In summary, we should value our friends and keep in touch with them.
We should try to see the funny side of things and laugh together and pray
for each other in the tough moments. Some of my friends are online. I
know I am part of theirs because their names appear on my computer
screen often. I feel blessed that they care as much for me as I care for
them.
Thank you for being one of my Vitamins!
The most beautiful thing about friendship is that we can grow separately
without growing apart.
Have an awesome day!

Prep : 25 mins Servings: 6
Cook: 1 hr 35 mins Yield: 6 servings
Total: 2 hrs
Ingredients
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
1 pinch paprika, or to taste
3 tablespoons butter
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom
soup
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons minced onions
1/2 cup processed cheese (such as
Velveeta), diced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms,
drained and chopped
2/3 cup sour cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 deg. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Melt butter in a large skillet and
brown the chicken breast well on both sides, about 5 min. per side. Lay the chicken breasts
into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
In a saucepan over med-low heat, mix together the mushroom soup, milk, onion, processed
cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and mushrooms. Allow the mixture to heat until the cheese
melts, but do not boil. Stir to thoroughly combine; mix in the sour cream until smooth. Pour
the sauce over the chicken breasts in the dish and cover with foil.
Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is tender and the juices run clear, about 45
min. Uncover, baste with sauce, and bake 30 more minutes, basting occasionally.
This will be on the menu for June 22nd so don’t miss out!
