The French writer and poet Céline, was once asked by a literature critic: ”Why do you write?“

He answered: ”I write to make other writers unreadable!“

What Celine really wants to tell us is: ”I am the only writer worth reading!“ So, he’s suggesting, don’t read the unreadable writers.

Poor souls and chatter boxes they are. You see here the typical intellectual-academic arrogance, which borders on blindness, stupidity and disrespect for other great thinkers and writers.

This is typical of academics who have become legends in their own mind and have not found a home within themselves. They believe they must constantly prove themselves to others, showing us how smart and well-educated they are. These people are emotionally crippled and intellectually bankrupt. They live in a constant state of self delusion and denial, and they have not come to grips with the real priorities of life, which are to love, hold, create-procreate, share and care.

As Dame Leonie Kramer said, political correctness is intellectual terrorism. The social engineers in the free and democratic western civil societies have created this monster, which destroys the individual’s creative thinking mind and secures their political and professional dominance.

This battle-of-the-wills must be won for the sake of humanity because these wreckers and destroyers have killed the Socratic and Aristotelian mindset in order to ensure that Orwell’s and Huxley’s prophesies rule supreme.

Translated from the German by Prof J M DamonIn the Bishop Williamson affair, Germany is again faced with a great scandal, at least as far as the Zentralrat der Juden (Jewish Central Committee) is concerned.If the Jewish Committe considers something a scandal, then we can be sure that the assorted media, politicians, police and judiciary will consider it a scandal as well.Chancellor Merkel has had the temerity to call on the Pope to revoke his decision to reinstate Bishop Williamson, who was excommunicated in 1988 but recently welcomed back into the fold.What would Frau Merkel have said if the Pope had butted in to insist that she not expell Martin Hohmann from the CDU?After all, he was a devout Catholic and had won over half the votes in a staunchly Catholic city for the CDU!Frau Merkel would no doubt have chided the Pope for interfering in the affairs of her party.She would have informed him in no uncertain terms that she had a right and an obligation to exercise her discretion and throw Hohmann out of the Party at the insistence of the Jewish Committee.The Committee was outraged because Hohmann dared to mention the fact that a majority of the architects of the Bolshevik Revolution were Jews, and the Bolsheviks were responsible for the murders of untold millions of innocent persons...What is Bishop Williamson’s side of the story?Over several pages of the issue for 2 February 2009, Der Spiegel news magazine stresses the criticism that resulted from of the reinstatement of Bishop Williamson.Unfortunately it provides its readers with misleading information about what he actually said in the controversial Swedish TV interview.We read the following on page 41 of the Spiegel:“During a visit to Germany just two weeks earlier, the Englishman had stated before Swedish TV cameras: ‘Not a single Jew died in a gas chamber.’ Then the 68-year-old Cambridge graduate talked about technically inadequate heights of chimneys and leaky doors at Auschwitz.When asked about his anti Semitism, Williamson replied:‘If anti Semitism is bad, it goes against the truth and if something is true, it cannot be bad... I am not concerned about accusations of anti Semitism.’”Der Spiegel is being deliberately confusing and misleading.Let us compare what Der Spiegel implies the bishop said with what he actually did say. To begin with, charges of “anti Semitism” are obviously absurd for any clergyman whose savior is a Jew.In the interview of 22 January 2009, which is available on the Internet at <unglaublichkeiten.com>, Bishop Williamson clearly and distinctly says:“I believe what is supported by the historical facts, as presented  by scientific experts who have investigated these facts.I am convinced by what these experts have discovered...If they should change their conclusions, I would probably change my opinion because I believe their opinions are based on the facts.It is my opinion that 200,000 to 300,000 Jews perished in National Socialist concentration camps, but not one in a gas chamber.”The reporter then asks: “Isn’t that anti Semitism? What is anti Semitism?” Bishop Williamson responded: “When anti Semitism goes against the truth, it is bad. If a thing is true, then it is not evil... I am really not concerned with labels such as ‘anti Semitism.’”To this the reporter pointed out that another bishop had called him “anti Semitic.”To this the bishop replied: “The bishop can call me a dinosaur or an idiot – he can call me whatever he wants.I do not go in for namecalling.I am not concerned with namecalling, I am concerned with historical truth.

Historical truth is determined by empirical facts, not by emotions... We cannot deny that there has been tremendous exploitation of “Holocaust.”The German government has paid out hundreds of billions of Marks and Euros because the Germans have been inculcated with a guilt complex, namely the belief that their government gassed six million Jews during World War II.I do not believe that the Germans gassed six million Jews.I ask you to be careful, however. It is against the law in Germany to express the opinion that the Germans did not gas six million Jews! If there were a spy here (looking about), he could report me, and then the police could put me in prison before I leave Germany.I hope it is not your intention to have me put in a German prison.”Obviously the Spiegel’s allegation that Bishop Williamson was “asked about his anti Semitism” is not true.It is misleading to say the least, since the bishop does not consider himself an anti Semite.It is his understanding that referring to proven historical facts cannot be anti Semitic.He considers the expression “anti Semitism” a shibboleth that is attached to persons who make statements that are historically correct but politically incorrect.Thus, it is misleading and untruthful to characterize him as anti Semitic.The Spiegel article would have been much more interesting and informative if it had explained how or why Bishop Williamson arrived at his opinions.The Zionist media depict “Holocaust Deniers” as “a small circle of political extremists who, from obvious stupidity, incorrigibility or spitefulness, deny that millions of Jews died in gas chambers."What evidence of this do we actually find in the Swedish interview?The reporter asked, “Are these your words: Not a single Jew was murdered in a gas chamber – it is all a lie?” The bishop replied, “Here you are quoting a remark I made in Canada many years ago.It is my opinion that the historical body of facts strongly contradicts allegations that six million Jews were deliberately murdered in gas chambers as part of a deliberate strategy of Adolf Hitler.”The reporter: “But you are saying that it is your belief that not a single Jew was killed.”Bishop Williamson: “In gas chambers..  I said in gas chambers.” Reporter: “Then you believe there were no gas chambers?”Bishop Williamson: “I believe that the historical body of facts shows that there were no gas chambers...I am not driven by my emotions.The Revisionists, as they are called, have come to the conclusion – the most serious among them believe – that 200,000 to 300,000 Jews died in National Socialist concentration camps, but none were killed in gas chambers. Perhaps you have heard of the Leuchter Report.Fred Leuchter was a specialist in gas chambers, an engineer who designed homicidal gas chambers for the execution of prisoners in three of the 50 United States. He knew precisely how gas chambers must be designed and constructed.In the 1980s he studied and investigated the remains of alleged German gas chambers – specifically the crematories at Auschwitz and Birkenau. His expert conclusion was that those facilities could not possibly have been used to gas large numbers of people.The reason they could not have been so used is because cyanide gas is extremely dangerous.Let us assume that somebody gassed 300 persons locked in a room.

If the prisoners were wearing clothes it would have been extremely dangerous to go inside the “gas chamber” and remove the bodies. Even the small amount of gas absorbed by the prisoners’ clothing would have been enough to kill the workers.Cyanide gas is extremely dangerous!After gassings, the chamber must be very thoroughly ventilated before anyone can enter it.Such a ventilation of the alleged German gas chambers to remove the gas would have required a very high chimney...However, there were no such chimneys.The expert witness Fred Leuchter, who designs homicidal gas chambers for American prisons, has testified that no such chimneys existed.Mr. Leuchter also inspected the doors of the alleged gas chambers and discovered that they were not airtight.It is absolutely essential that the doors to gas chambers be air tight, otherwise the gas would escape and kill those outside the chamber.The doors of the socalled “gas chambers” shown to tourists at Auschwitz are not at all airtight...”The Spiegel article does not actually quote the bishop, but tries to create the impression of a bumbler who is making things up as he goes along.  It does not inform the reader that the expert witness Fred Leuchter, who has first hand, professional working knowledge of homicidal gas chambers, was testifying under oath in a Canadian court concerning a facility he had carefully investigated.The Spiegel does not inform its readers that the “drafty doors” to which the bishop referred were the doors of the so-called “Gas Chambers of Auschwitz” and that escaping gas would have killed those outside the chambers along with those inside.The bishop’s actual statement does not make him appear as a pigheaded bumbler who is ignoring what is “common knowledge.” Instead of accurately reporting what the bishop said, the Spiegel then treats its readers to a passage concerning “Christians vs. Jews.”

At age 70, David Irving, the world's most infamous and intransigent Holocaust denier, continues to flirt with more prison time in a series of European nations over his revisionist claims about World War II. And he is not alone. In early December, Irving appeared on a British television show, claiming there is "not a single document linking Hitler with decisions on the Holocaust, except negative decisions." (In 2006, Irving served six months of a prison term in Austria for "trivializing, grossly playing down and denying the Holocaust.")Then on Dec. 18, Spanish police recorded a speech Irving gave at the Europa bookstore, a well-known neofascist haunt, in Barcelona. Investigators said they intended to carefully examine the speech to determine whether Irving's lecture could "incite xenophobia or justify genocide," a crime punishable by prison time in Spain. Fewer than 20 people attended the speech as more than 100 protesters rallied outside. Also in December, Irving made a controversial appearance in a film celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. On Dec. 9, Irving appeared on UK television in "An Independent Mind," a documentary by Jewish filmmaker Rex Bloomstein. The director told TotallyJewish.com, a UK news website, that he agonized over the decision to include Irving. But he added: "Irving is someone who reflects the limits of freedom of expression. He

epitomizes repellent views which make us aware of the limits of freedom of expression. It would be derelict not to include someone who challenges how we look at that freedom."The Norwegian Festival of Literature had previously approached Irving in the same spirit to invite him to speak at the well-attended literary festival in May 2009. Festival chairman Jesper Holte said his intention was "to invite a liar and a falsifier of history to a festival about truth, and confront him with this." After controversy erupted over Irving's scheduled appearance last fall, however, the festival rescinded the invitation.That same month — October 2008 — Australian Holocaust denier Fredrick Töben was arrested at London's Heathrow airport en route from the U.S. to Dubai. Töben was taken into custody by British authorities who planned to extradite him to Germany to face pending charges of Holocaust denial, which in that country is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison. Töben served time in a German prison in 1999 for the same offense.German prosecutors sought Töben's arrest on grounds that the website of Töben's Adelaide Institute published Holocaust denial statements, including claims that accounts of Nazi gassings were "outright lies." Over the past decade, Töben, a schoolteacher, has gained a number of admirers on the Holocaust-denial circuit. In 2001 and 2003, he spoke out about

his beliefs at "Intifada Conferences" held in Iran, where government authorities routinely deny the Holocaust.Not long after Töben was arrested in London, a British judge ruled that the international warrant for his arrest was invalid because it contained only "vague and imprecise" details about Töben's alleged denial. On Nov. 20, German prosecutors dropped their appeal of that British court ruling, and Töben was released the

same day. Back home in Australia, Töben awaits a contempt-of-court hearing for allegedly refusing to comply with a court order to remove all Holocaust denial claims from the Adelaide Institute website.

Blueprints of the concentration camp at Auschwitz, found recently in a rubbish skip, have been put on display in a Berlin shopping centre as a public challenge to Holocaust deniers.The plans, which show gas chambers, huge storage halls for corpses, and a crematorium, have been put up in a busy foyer between sandwich shops and a sushi bar.“It’s shocking, deeply shocking,” said Tobias Prennzler, 27, a design student, as he leant forward to decipher the signature of Heinrich Himmler, the head of the Nazi security machine. “This was 1941 and they were already drawing up plans for some kind of a death factory. And it looks like they wanted to make it permanent.”The display comes as Germans, once fiercely proud of the Bavarian-born Pope Benedict XVI, are registering dismay that the Vatican should have accepted a Holocaust sceptic back into the fold. Bishop Richard Williamson, who is being expelled from Argentina by the Government, once told Swedish television: “I believe there were no gas chambers.”The core of Auschwitz was built for migrant farm workers in 1916 when southern Poland was still part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. When the First World War ended it was taken over by the Polish horse artillery. After the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939, it was turned into a jail for Polish officers and intellectuals.But Himmler had ambitious plans for the camp: he wanted it to house a pool of slave labour for an IG Farben factory making synthetic rubber and petrol. He ruled that it should be expanded to accommodate 30,000 prisoners; that an adjacent camp be built for 100,000 in Auschwitz-Birkenau; and that 10,000 inmates be assigned to building factory halls for IG Farben. The plans were found last autumn when an old apartment in Berlin was being gutted. This is the first time that Germans have been able to see the sketches. Feb. 16, 2009In what could turn out to be the greatest fraud in US history, American authorities have started to investigate the alleged role of senior military officers in the misuse of $125bn (£88bn) in a US -directed effort to reconstruct Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein. The exact sum missing may never be clear, but a report by the US Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR) suggests it may exceed $50bn, making it an even bigger theft than Bernard Madoff’s notorious Ponzi scheme. “I believe the real looting of Iraq after the invasion was by US officials and contractors, and not by people from the slums of Baghdad,” said one US businessman active in Iraq since 2003. In one case, auditors working for SIGIR discovered that $57.8m was sent in “pallet upon pallet of hundred-dollar bills” to the US comptroller for south-central Iraq, Robert J Stein Jr, who had himself photographed standing with the mound of money. He is among the few US officials who were in Iraq to be convicted of fraud and money-laundering. Despite the vast sums expended on rebuilding by the US since 2003, there have been no cranes visible on the Baghdad skyline except

those at work building a new US embassy and others rusting beside a half-built giant mosque that Saddam was constructing when he was overthrown. One of the few visible signs of government work on Baghdad’s infrastructure is a tireless attention to planting palm trees and flowers in the centre strip between main roads. Those are then dug up and replanted a few months later. Iraqi leaders are convinced that the theft or waste of huge sums of US and Iraqi government money could have happened only if senior US officials were themselves involved in the corruption. In 2004-05, the entire Iraq military procurement budget of $1.3bn was siphoned off from the Iraqi Defence Ministry in return for 28-year-old Soviet helicopters too obsolete to fly and armoured cars easily penetrated by rifle bullets. Iraqi officials were blamed for the theft, but US military officials were largely in control of the Defence Ministry at the time and must have been either highly negligent or participants in the fraud.

Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, head of the Ateret Cohanim yeshiva in Jerusalem's Muslim Quarter, urged Israeli schools to cancel their annual trips to the camps, saying they are forbidden since there is a halachic ban on leaving Israel and because they "provide livelihood to murderers." Aviner made the statement in a religious journal in answer to a reader's question. In an interview with Ynet following the journal's publication, he said, "I'm not busy holding a grudge against the Poles, but we shouldn't provide

livelihood to people who allowed death camps to be built on their land and who are now making a profit out of it." The April 2009 Durban II conference promises to top that fiasco, despite the Obama administration's decision to attempt to influence the process.In the end it will be a Holocaust-denying, anti-Israel hate-fest. The United States, the Europeans and all other democratic nations should boycott this cynical effort to incite racist hatred and religious bigotry. If the United States chooses to attend this fraudulent conference, we will legitimize and sanction the bigotry and racism practiced by the world's most intolerant, anti-democratic nations.Indeed, it is these nations and their long and hostile records that cause the most concern. Let's look at a few of them.If you had to choose a responsible chair for the beginning Conference Preparatory Committee, a safe bet would be to pass over Libya. Yet as the upside-down logic of Durban II goes, the Libyan representative was elected by his peers along with vice chairmen from human rights-abusing nations such as Iran and Cuba.Libya's twisted worldview, if there were any doubts, was on exhibit last April when its deputy ambassador to the United Nations, Ibrahim Dabbashi, appeared before the Security Council and brazenly compared Israeli actions in Gaza at the time to the Nazis' systematic killing during the Holocaust.This is what happens when terrorist countries are elevated to the stature of democratic states. What stunts will they try to pull at Durban II?Last year, Iran added its peculiar brand of democratic practices to the Durban II process when it protested the credentials registration of the Canadian Council on Israel and Jewish Advocacy, in a preparatory meeting on the conference. As Hershell Ezrin, the council's chief executive officer, told the Canadian Jewish News last May, "The whole process had become so discriminatory to us, we felt that no matter how many times we answered their questions and responded to shorter and shorter deadlines, we were asked the same questions over and over again."With Iran proudly serving as the center of Holocaust denial today, we can only imagine what it has up its sleeve for this conference.Syria objected recently to language in conference program documents citing the number of Jewish deaths during the Holocaust, saying it didn't want to engage in a statistical debate. Iran also objected to Holocaust references, complaining that banning denial was a restriction on freedom of expression.Yet these countries and their allies have been staunch defenders of the insertion of blasphemy legislation in numerous other U.N. forums, a policy that violates freedom of expression through the suppression of any criticism of Islam or its leaders.The Human Rights Council, the successor to the Human Rights Commission, also has been active in the planning of the conference at the request of the U.N. General Assembly. Yet the council, like its predecessor, has become irrevocably tarred with anti-Semitism and bias against Israel.As the State Department's March 2008 Report on Contemporary Global Anti-Semitism explained about these two organizations, "For many years before its abolition, the Commission on Human Rights had a separate agenda item focusing solely on alleged violations of Israel -- namely, Item 8, 'Question of the violation of human rights in the occupied Arab territories, including Palestine.' This allowed multiple resolutions against Israel, while no other country could have more than one resolution run against it each year. No other country beside Israel had an agenda item exclusively scrutinizing it. This tradition has been continued by the new U.N. Human Rights Council."The report said later that "Several important countries, including established democracies, follow a policy of voting 'on principle' against all resolutions that criticize a specific country regardless of the merits -- unless that country is Israel, in which case they consistently vote in favor of critical resolutions."The timing of the Durban II conference is equally disturbing, as it will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 20 to 24, overlapping Israel's annual observance of Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Memorial Day, on April 21. How ironic it will be that a conference organized by the United Nations, which

gave birth to Israel in 1948 out of the ashes of the Holocaust, promises to repeat its shameful performance of 2001 by again allowing the unbridled eliminationist hatred, condemnation and slander of Israel.In encouraging this conference to reconvene and worse, leaving it in the hands of the likes of Iran, Libya and other terrorist states, the United Nations again dishonors itself by allowing these tyrants a platform to impose their racial and religious bigotry on the world. How can the United States possibly be a part of this insanity? *******JONNY PAUL : Declaration to fight anti-Semitism signed in London, JERUSALEM POST, LONDONA declaration pledging to challenge anti-Semitism was signed on behalf of all participating nations on Tuesday, the final day of the London Conference on Combating Anti-Semitism.Noting the dramatic increase in anti-Semitism being disseminated in the media and attacks targeting Jewish persons and property, the London Declaration was signed by 125 parliamentarians from 40 countries.It called on national governments, parliaments, international institutions, political and civic leaders and civil society to "affirm democratic and human values, build societies based on respect and citizenship and combat any manifestations of anti-Semitism and discrimination." It made the promise that the parliamentarians affirm their commitment to a comprehensive program of action to meet this challenge."We are alarmed at the resurrection of the old language of prejudice and its modern manifestations - in rhetoric and political action - against Jews, Jewish belief and practice and the State of Israel," the statement said. Confirmed at a press conference on Tuesday, the declaration made reference in particular to Venezuela and Iran stating: "We are alarmed by government-backed anti-Semitism in general and state-backed genocidal anti-Semitism, in particular." Signatories also pledged to expose, challenge and isolate those who engage in hate against Jews and target the State of Israel as a Jewish collective. It also called upon governments to challenge any form of Holocaust denial. Again in reference to Iran it stated "any foreign leader, politician or public figure who denies, denigrates or trivializes the Holocaust" must be challenged. Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, Natan Sharansky, who attended the conference, was impressed with its organization and content. "Of course a lot will depend on what will follow but it is significant that the conference was held in London. If you look at the new anti-Semitism, the leading force is the UK," he said. Earlier in the day parliamentarians called on their respective governments and the UN to "never again to allow the institutions of the international community to be abused for the purposes of trying to establish any legitimacy for anti-Semitism." The parliamentarians issued a declaration stating that the international community must "not be witness or party to another gathering like Durban in 2001" in reference to the infamous UN "anti-racism" conference in which the focus on Israel, to the exclusion of all other issues, was widely perceived as anti-Semitic. The declaration calls for the European Union Council of Ministers to address the issue of combating anti-Semitism; the exposure and isolation of governments and individual politicians who engage in hate against Jews and the establishment of an international taskforce of Internet specialists to measure racism and anti-Semitism online and propose international responses.

Speaking from Florida, where he lives, Rosenblat said in a video posted on YouTube on Tuesday night that he had been confused about what was real. In my head, I believed it was me ... and I still believe it's me," Rosenblat said in the video.He added he believed the girl was an angel sent by his mother, who died in the Holocaust.Rosenblat, a Polish-born retired electrical contractor who now lives in North Miami Beach, Florida, said in his memoir that they had met again by chance on a blind date in New York years later, fallen in love and got married.The book, Angel at the Fence, The True Story of a Love that Survived, was canceled by Berkley Books, an imprint of the Penguin Group, after Rosenblat's agent, Andrea Hurst, said he had invented part of the book.The memoir, which had been due to be published in February, came under public scrutiny after several scholars in an article in The New Republic magazine challenged some of the claims in the book that was also set to be made into a movie.Harris Salomon, president of Atlantic Overseas Pictures is pushing ahead with plans to make a feature film, with shooting due to start in Hungary this summer.Rosenblat's story will also be made into a fictional book to be published by York House Press. by Daniel McGowan / February 17th, 2009 mcgowandaniel@yahoo.com In April 2007 the European Union agreed to set jail sentences up to three years for those who deny or trivialize the Holocaust.1 More recently, in response to the remarks of Bishop Richard Williamson, the Pope has proclaimed that Holocaust denial is "intolerable and altogether unacceptable."But what does Holocaust denial really mean? Begin with the word Holocaust.2 The Holocaust (spelled with a capital H) refers to the killing of six million Jews by the Nazis during World War II. It is supposed to be the German's "Final Solution" to the Jewish problem. Much of the systematic extermination was to have taken place in concentration camps by shooting, gassing, and burning alive innocent Jewish victims of the Third Reich.People like Germar Rudolf, Ernst Zündel, and Bishop Williamson who do not believe this account and who dare to say so in public are reviled as bigots, anti-Semites, racists, and worse. Their alternate historical scenarios are not termed simply revisionist, but are demeaned as Holocaust denial. Rudolf and Zündel were shipped to Germany where they were tried, convicted, and sentenced to three and five years, respectively. Williamson may not be far behind.Politicians deride Holocaust revisionist papers and conferences as "beyond the pale of international discourse and acceptable behavior."3 Non-Zionist Jews who participate in such revisionism, like Rabbi Dovid Weiss of the Neturei Karta, are denounced as "self-haters" and are shunned and spat upon. Even Professor Norman Finkelstein, whose parents were both Holocaust survivors and who wrote the book, The Holocaust Industry, has been branded a Holocaust denier.But putting aside the virile hate directed against those who question the veracity of the typical Holocaust narrative, what is it that these people believe and say at the risk of

imprisonment and bodily harm? For most Holocaust revisionists or deniers if you prefer, their arguments boil down to three simple contentions:1. Hitler's "Final Solution" was intended to be ethnic cleansing, not extermination.2. There were no homicidal gas chambers used by the Third Reich.3. There were fewer than 6 million Jews killed of the 55 million who died in WWII.Are these revisionist contentions so odious as to cause those who believe them to be reviled, beaten, and imprisoned? More importantly, is it possible that revisionist contentions are true, or even partially true, and that they are despised because they contradict the story of the Holocaust, a story which has been elevated to the level of a religion in hundreds of films, memorials, museums, and docu-dramas?Is it sacrilegious to ask, "If Hitler was intent on extermination, how did Elie Wiesel, his father, and two of his sisters survive the worst period of incarceration at Auschwitz?" Wiesel claims that people were thrown alive into burning pits, yet even the Israeli-trained guides at Auschwitz refute this claim.Is it really "beyond international discourse" to question the efficacy and the forensic evidence of homicidal gas chambers? If other myths, like making soap from human fat, have been dismissed as Allied war propaganda, why is it "unacceptable behavior" to ask if the gas chamber at Dachau was not reconstructed by the Americans because no other homicidal gas chamber could be found and used as evidence at the Nuremberg trials?For more than fifty years Jewish scholars have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to document each Jewish victim of the Nazi Holocaust. The Nazis were German, obsessed with

paperwork and recordkeeping. Yet only 3 million names have been collected and many of them died of natural causes. So why is it heresy to doubt that fewer than 6 million Jews were murdered in the Second World War?"Holocaust Denial" might be no more eccentric or no more criminal than claiming the earth is flat, except that the Holocaust itself has been used as the sword and shield in the quest to build a Jewish state between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, where even today over half the population is not Jewish.The Holocaust narrative allows Yad Vashem, the finest Holocaust museum in the world, to repeat the mantra of "Never Forget" while it sits on Arab lands stolen from Ein Karem and overlooking the unmarked graves of Palestinians massacred by Jewish terrorists at Deir Yassin. It allows Elie Wiesel to boast of having worked for these same terrorists (as a journalist, not a fighter) while refusing to acknowledge, let alone apologize for, the war crimes his employer committed. It makes Jews the ultimate victim no matter how they dispossess or dehumanize or ethnically cleanse indigenous Palestinian people.The Holocaust story eliminates any comparison of Ketziot or Gaza to the concentration camps they indeed are. It memorializes the resistance of Jews in the ghettos of Europe while steadfastly denying any comparison with the resistance of Palestinians in Hebron and throughout the West Bank. It allows claims that this year's Hanukah Massacre in Gaza, with a kill ratio of 100 to one, was a "proportionate response" to Palestinian resistance to unending occupation.The Holocaust is used to silence critics of Israel in what the Jewish scholar, Marc Ellis, has called the ecumenical deal: you Christians look the other way while we bludgeon the Palestinians and build our Jewish state and we won't remind

you that Hitler was a good Catholic, a confirmed "soldier of Christ," long before he was a bad Nazi.The Holocaust narrative of systematic, industrialized extermination was an important neo-conservative tool to drive the United States into Iraq. The same neo-con ideologues, like Norman Podoretz, routinely compare Ahmadinejad to Hitler and Nazism with Islamofascism with the intent of driving us into Iran. Unlike other people in the world, Gazans counted down the last seconds of 2008 anticipating the next Israeli air attack, shelling by tank, or the launch of a missile from warships crouching just offshore. Many of our children thought the flashing explosions were fireworks with which the Israeli military wanted them to mark the advent of the New Year. But too many children were shocked to learn some of their peers were either injured or killed. It was then that they discovered that Israel wanted them to have a macabre welcome for the year 2009.Last night, the last of 2008, was the most horrible and horrendous for all Gazans. Almost every moment, a bomb fell on civilian homes, or other targets that had already been bombed to rubble. At least 10 people were killed and many other injured. Among the targets bombed by the Israeli Offense Forces were the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and the Legislative Council.Bombing these institutions has nothing to do with isolating Hamas or weakening the resistance. The Israeli intent seems to be to create what US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called "creative anarchy." Indeed Israel has always wanted to keep Palestinians living a life of disorder. They want chaos to prevail in the Gaza Strip. They want to eliminate any legislative or judicial system and replace it with the law of the jungle that existed before Hamas took power.Such a state of anarchy would be further perpetuated by keeping Palestinians in Gaza ignorant and illiterate. It is to advance this sinister policy that Israel is systematically destroying the education system, targeting universities, schools, and above all the Ministry of Education. As a colonial power, Israel has adopted this old colonial strategy to dominate the Palestinians. It is precisely the same strategy used by slaveholders and colonizers: keep the people you want to control in ignorance so they cannot rebel.Israel's claims that Palestinians have been using their institutions as military sites or for hiding and manufacturing weapons are preposterous and ridiculous. These allegations are just like the fake claims about Iraqi weapons former US Secretary of State Colin Powell used to justify the invasion of Iraq.Laying waste to the Gaza Strip is another way for the colonizers to "prove" that Palestinians are just disorderly, monstrous, barbarous terrorists who do not deserve a state of their own. Instead they should be in the fetters of occupation, they should always be oppressed and repressed so they cannot disturb those living in the Garden of Eden. What should Palestinians do in response to such oppression? Should they remain imprisoned in Gaza, the world's largest concentration camp? Should they acquiesce to the Israeli siege and pray to God, "imprison me to make me free"?What is happening in Gaza today is really catastrophic. The systematic destruction of holy places, schools, universities and the killing of innocent Palestinians are war crimes whose perpetrators must be brought to justice. Report, The Electronic Intifada, 16 February 2009GAZA CITY, occupied Gaza Strip (IRIN) - The Hamas government in Gaza has said it is trying to help thousands of Palestinians who lost their homes and/or loved ones in the 22-day Israeli offensive which ended on 18 January. According to deputy minister of social affairs, Sobhi Redwan, Hamas has so far spent an estimated $50 million on emergency relief assistance, but more aid is needed.

Scores of men have been queuing up outside the deputy minister's office to try to persuade officials they need emergency food assistance and have not received any aid from the UN or other agencies."We are supplying all people in Gaza who are in need. It is the government's duty to provide relief during and after the war," Redwan told IRIN on 11 February.The government has formed a "national high committee for relief" comprised of representatives from all Gaza factions except Fatah. Gazan coast becoming a 'no-go' zone16th February, 2009

On Saturday 14th February, 23 year-old Rafiq abu Reala was shot by Israeli naval forces whilst fishing in Gazan territorial waters, approximately two nautical miles out from the port of Gaza city. He was in a simple fishing vessel, not much larger than a rowing boat, with a small outboard engine, known locally as a 'hassaka'. Rafiq, his brother Rajab and another friend were following the course of a shoal of fish. A group of

five more hassakas were out at the time, about a kilometre to the west of Rafiq's boat, further out to sea. An Israeli naval gunboat approached the area and began shooting at the other hassakas, which quickly changed course and headed east, back towards shore.Suddenly Rafiq realised the gunboat was bearing down on their hassaka. As he recounted the events of that day, Rafiq likened the predatory nature of the naval vessel to that of a wolf. It circled their fishing boat and began shooting heavy ammunition in their direction. The three terrified fishermen threw themselves down flat in the bottom of their boat. The Israeli captain ordered them via megaphone to raise their nets and leave the area. At this point the gunboat was less then 20 metres from Rafiq's hassaka. The second time the gunboat came around no attempt was made to communicate with the fishermen. Rafiq was desperately pulling in the nets with his back facing the gunboat. An M-16 assault rifle was fired hitting him twice with explosive 'dum-dum' bullets, which peppered his back with shrapnel from the bullets themselves.The force of the shots threw him in the water, plunging him down about six or seven metres below the surface. Rajab asked their friend to control the boat while he rescued Rafiq. Being a strong swimmer, he dived in after Rafiq and pulled him out of the water into the hassaka. However, Rafiq was unconscious by this time. The outboard was being slowed down by the weight of the nets so they headed towards another hassaka 300 metres away where they dumped the nets. The fishermen in this vessel had a mobile phone and made an emergency call. The stricken hassaka reached port at the same time as the ambulance arrived and Rafiq was taken to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza city in a serious condition.A couple of days later it was possible to visit Rafiq in hospital. He was weak and in a lot of pain, with some difficulty breathing, but was beginning to improve. His x-ray clearly indicated the presence of the bullet shrapnel between his shoulder and his spine. An enquiry regarding the possibility of surgery to remove the fragments was met with a solemn "no" from Rafiq's uncle, present at his bedside, who explained, "The pieces are too many, too small and too widespread. His whole back would have to be opened up." It is not only Rafiq's back which has the metal shards still embedded in it; the shrapnel also penetrated his lungs.They sustained pulmonary contusions, resulting in a haemothorax. The only treatment Rafiq can benefit from at this time is to have blood drained which is collecting in the pleural cavity in the upper left side of his chest. 1.5 litres of blood was initially drained off when he was first admitted but this amount later decreased and stabilised. Medication is limited to painkillers and antibiotics.It could take Rafiq months to fully recover yet he has a family to support. He married just six months ago and his wife is now expecting their first baby. After five years of working as a fisherman, he has experienced Israeli naval forces firing warning shots on many occasions but this was the first time he has been directly targeted. However, Rajab survived being shot in the chest by the Israeli navy two and a half years ago. It is sobering to note that 14 Gazan fishermen have been

killed by the Israeli navy since 2000. Rafiq described the level shooting on Saturday like an open war. Fishermen were attacked from Wadi Gaza, south of Gaza city, all the way to the north of Gaza. A number of hassakas were targeted that day, some vessels sustaining serious damage from the shooting.Palestinian fishermen have come under daily assaults from Israeli gunboats since Israel announced a unilateral ceasefire which supposedly came into force on 18th January. Reports of heavy gunfire and even missile fire are now becoming the 'norm'. Rafiq is the third Gazan fisherman to be shot by the Israeli navy during this non-existant ceasefire. On 26th January, Alaa al-Habil was shot in the lower leg whilst trawling less than one nautical mile off the coast of Gaza. On 6th February, Mahmoud al-Nadar was shot in both legs whilst 1.5 nautical miles off the coast of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. Nowadays it is unthinkable for fishermen to venture beyond three nautical miles from the Gazan coast, with many vessels staying just metres from the beach.However, Gazan territorial waters reach 12 nautical miles offshore –indeed, the Oslo Accords grant a fishing zone extending as far as 20 nautical miles.Israel is attempting to create arbitrary 'no-go' zones in the sea – enforced solely by the gun. They might succeed if it weren't for the resilience of the fishermen. All this is akin to what is happening on land. The Israeli Occupation Force has declared an area of Palestinian land a kilometre in from the Green Line a 'closed military zone', affecting an audacious land grab which threatens to swallow a vast swathe of rich agricultural land all the way along the eastern length of the Gaza strip.International human rights observers are currently accompanying farmers determined to harvest their crops in one such area. In the months prior to Israel's war on Gaza, members of ISM Gaza Strip were accompanying Palestinian fishermen on a regular basis and witnessed countless acts of Israeli military aggression against them whilst in Gazan territorial waters, despite a six-month ceasefire agreement holding at the time.The international community remains silent about these daily violations of international human rights law. One cannot help wondering what an outcry there would inevitably be if the tables were turned and an Israeli civilian received similar injuries. Such an incident would scupper current negotiations attempting to broker a more genuine long-term ceasefire. HE KNOWS better than most the harsh reality of incarceration. In 1945, aged 19, Peter Gabriel Agoston was freed from a Hungarian concentration camp under Hitler's control.Now, at 81, his mind is failing him. He has been diagnosed with dementia and suffers from high levels of anxiety.It was for these reasons that Mr Agoston walked free from Sydney District Court last week, even though a judge found that a jury could convict him of attempting to defraud the Australian Tax Office of about $8.8 million. The alleged offences involved tax returns Mr Agoston filed between 1995 and 2000 in relation to four Australian films, including a soccer documentary narrated by the SBS commentator Les Murray.

Mr Agoston, who was in a partnership with others to attract film investors, was accused of falsely overstating the claims for spending by more than $2.8 million in one financial year.He did this by allegedly using the figures for the projected spending, calculated before film production began.Judge Christopher Geraghty said documents seized from Mr Agoston's office revealed that in the 1995-96 financial year he had overstated the spending on a film called Super Champions Of The World by $800,000.In 1999-00 Mr Agoston had overstated the spending on the soccer documentary Height Of Passion by more than $2.8 million, the court heard.The discrepancies were discovered during a Tax Office audit of the tax returns, so no money was lost by the commonwealth, Judge Geraghty said.

He said the evidence against Mr Agoston was strong enough for a properly instructed jury to convict him of the offences.But in an earlier judicial decision Mr Agoston had been deemed unfit to stand trial because of his mental health, expected to deteriorate rapidly.Taking into account his age, his mental health and personal history, it was "inappropriate to inflict any punishment" on Mr

Artist Explores Myths of Nazi UFO TechnologyBy David Gordon Smith in BerlinDid Hitler develop top-secret flying saucers? One Polish artist is looking at myths of secret Nazi technology in a new exhibition at the site where the notorious V-2 rocket was developed in the German coastal city of Peenemünde.The Nazis weren't defeated at the end of World War II. Instead, they fled to Antarctica in a flying saucer constructed by Nazi scientists, where the SS continued their struggle against Freemasons from a secret base in the German colony of New Swabia. The Americans would later launch the Antarctic expedition Operation Highjump in 1946 in a bid to capture the Nazis' flying saucer technology.That, at least, is one version of events. Such far-fetched theories about Nazi flying saucers are deconstructed in a new exhibition by Polish artist Hubert Czerepok which opens Thursday at Peenemünde Historical Technical Information Center on Germany's Baltic coast. "I'm concerned with questioning official versions of history, which are not always true," says Czerepok. "I'm interested in asking which version is really true."The exhibition is entitled Haunebu, one of several names for the alleged flying saucer project, which are also referred to as Reichsflugscheiben ("Reich flying discs"), Vril discs or V-7s. According to believers, the disks were up to 71 meters (230 feet) in diameter and could reach speeds of up to 5,000 kilometers per hour (3,100 miles per hour).Peenemünde is an appropriate location for exploring such topics, given that it was where the German V-2 rockets were developed during World War II; some ufologists believe the Haunebu project was an offshoot of the V-2 program. In fact, many aspects of the UFO conspiracy theories in circulation are inspired by real events relating to the V-2 -- such as the idea that the Allies seized the flying saucer technology at the end of the war and took the Nazi scientists to the United States to continue their work in secret. However, there is no historical evidence that any flying saucer program ever existed.Between Fact and Fiction One of the strands that feeds into ufologists' fertile imaginations is a peculiar structure located outside the village of Nowa Ruba in Poland's Owl Mountains, a part of the country which belonged to Germany up until 1945. The mysterious construction consists of a dozen concrete pillars arranged in a circle with a ring around the top. No one has ever been able to come up with a definitive explanation of what the Nazis used it for -- prompting ufologists to speculate it was used in the alleged Haunebu project.

"There's no other structure like it," says Czerepok, who has visited the site, which was featured in a BBC documentary. "Some believe it was some kind of storage facility or an ammunition factory. Others believe it was used for an anti-gravity engine." A large-format photograph of the structure forms part of the exhibition, which also includes a scale model of a Nazi flying saucer and what are alleged to be photographs, some clearly doctored, and design sketches of the UFOs.Czerepok, who says he has always been fascinated by urban myths and conspiracy theories, was inspired by works by the sensationalist Polish historian Igor Witkowski. He also found a wealth of material on the many Web sites devoted to Nazi secret technology.Some of the sites go into extraordinary detail about the supposed Nazi UFOs, featuring information about specifications and test flights. "The Vril 1 Jäger (Hunter) was constructed in 1941 and first flew in 1942," reads one site. "It was 11.5 meters in diameter, had a single pilot, and could achieve speeds of between 2,900 kilometers (1,800 miles) per hour and 12,000 kilometers per hour!" The sites are illustrated with -- inevitably blurry -- photos, artists' renditions and technical drawings which purport to show the advanced technology described. The authors also discuss at length the role of supposed Nazi secret societies such as the Order of the Black Sun or the Vril Society. "I've met people who really think it's true," says Czerepok.However, the artist insists his aim is not to poke fun at people who believe in the theories. "The project deals with history, which is not like science," he says. "Instead, it consists of several small narratives." He feels artists often occupy the gray area between fact and fiction. "As an artist, you are in a position to reconstruct things which did not exist, things which are not certain."In the past, theories about a Nazi UFO program gained particular traction in Germany's radical right, neo-Nazi communities. But Czerepok isn't concerned about his exhibition becoming a magnet for the neo-Nazi fringe. "It's not a show dedicated to them and I am not trying to get their special attention," he says. "It's an exhibition about history, which has been seen by some people as science fiction and by others as true historical facts. It's open for all possible interpretations and different audiences."Does he believe in UFOs himself? "I'm kind of in between. You have skeptical days and days when you believe in things.
