July 2010 Aug 2014Responsibilities: Carried out surveys of the customs border posts at the Pakistan-Afghanistan and Pakistan-India borderline for the improvement of IT requirements. Collected and analyzed data for the Dwell Time Study to identify the problems of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) from vessels arrival at sea port till exit at border post. (Torkham & Chaman) Collated and assessed ATT data to develop reports on development and changes in the status of trade Negotiations with vendors to get competitive quotations for planned improvements at Pakistans border posts (Pak-Afghan) and related IT requirements. Assisted in the identification of infrastructure needs, procurement and installation of infrastructure improvement equipment at border posts. (i.e. Chaman, Torkham and Wagah) Assisted in the implementation of the weigh bridges at Torkham and Chaman (Pak-Afghan border) in cooperation with other project employees and competitively selected Pakistani vendors. Populated the Deloitte Share Point (online repository for Deloitte stakeholders) with all of the files related to USAID-Trade Projects activities by their type of activities.
Produced various reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation related to project activities as needed. Assisted in the Central Asian Business Opportunity Conference (CABOC) which was organized by the USAID Trade Project in Islamabad in April 2014.
Assisted the project custom advisors in delivering trainings on customs international best practices to Pakistan customs officials.
Worked with the administration, finance and operations departments for traveling arrangements of project staff and relevant payments. Assisted in the implementation of procedural changes at border posts. Maintained documentation and communication related to the tasks carried out by the infrastructure team.
Data collection for the Women in Trade (WIT) portal
