HOMEWORK POLICY
• Homework refers to any learning activity that pupils are required by the school to complete outside curriculum time.
• Homework can
– reinforce pupils’ learning
– provide feedback on their progress
– cultivate a healthy disposition towards continual learning
• Usually not more than an hour a day for P1
• No homework on the eve of major celebrations such as National Day or festivals such as CNY, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas

All play activities should be done in open areas
allocated for games e.g. the school field, indoor
sports hall, etc.
Do not play in a rough manner, e.g. pushing and
tripping.
Walk briskly and do not run in the canteen and
along the corridors.
Queue up to buy food, stationery and for the school bus / van.
Play with care especially at the playground and parade square.
Proper use of toilet facilities and not to wet the floor after washing their
hands (slippery floor).
All pupils must at all times avoid any mischief that is likely to cause
injury to themselves or to others.
In the event of an incident, pupils must report it to any teacher at the
area or to the staff at the General Office.

Physical Education & CCA• Please let the teacher know if your child has any medical
condition.
• Pupils should not participate in physical activities if they
are not feeling well, on medication or just recovered from
an illness.
• Pupils should hydrate themselves adequately before,
during and after P.E. lessons.
• Pupils should seek medical advice should there be any
sign(s) of injury/illness after a P.E. lesson.
Road Safety• Follow the instructions of the traffic
wardens/security guards when crossing the
road.
• Always cross the road at designated pedestrian
crossings, overhead bridges or underpasses.
• Always be alert for
inattentive drivers at
signalised crossings.
• Always use footpaths
where possible.
Safety & Security
Use of mobile phones while walking and crossing the road is prohibited.
• Inform the bus driver one day in advance if your child is
not taking the school bus.
• Be punctual to wait for the bus.
• Queue up in an orderly manner to board the
school bus.
• No changing of seats are allowed for contact
tracing purposes. Front seats are reserved for
pupils with special needs / injuries.
• On the school bus,
pupils are to remain seated with their
seat belts fastened at all times
(appreciate the help of parents
to remind their children as well)
• Pupils are to help keep their school bus clean.
No food and drinks are to be consumed in the bus.

School BusArrival:
• School bus will arrive in school between 6.30 a.m. to
7.00 a.m.
• All pupils will alight at the school porch and proceed
to the classrooms for silent reading.
Dismissal:
• Pupils will queue in the school hall
upon dismissal according to their
bus route.
• They will be led to board the bus at
the school porch in an orderly manner.
• Please inform the school OM if your child is taking
bus transport from the Student Care Centre outside
school.

Car• All vehicles entering / leaving the school compound must
observe the speed limit of 15km/h.
• Please do not alight your child outside the school main gate.
You may alight your child at the carpark in front of Blk 175
(opposite sch’s main gate) or Blk 166 (via side gate).
• Parents’ vehicle will only be allowed to enter school
compound from 7am onwards to alight their children unless
during wet weather. If all the buses have alighted our
pupils before 7am, parents’ vehicles will be allowed into
the school.
• Parents are to drop their children off at the
school porch promptly and drive off. 17 seconds
• Please cooperate and follow the
instructions of the Security Guards / Staff /
Parent Volunteers to ensure safety for all.

Pupils are strongly encouraged not to cross the main gate of KCPSS but to enter KCPSS at the main entrance, cross the pedestrian crossing near the guard house to walk towards the primary school.

Pupils will alight and push their bicycles from the 2 Side Gates (via
Blk 166 & next to the school main gate) towards the Indoor Sports
Hall (ISH) to secure their bicycle at the area between Living Praise
Presbyterian Church (LPPC) and the Indoor Sports Hall (ISH).
Dismissal
• No cars are allowed in the school when the school buses are
inside.
• Park your car at the carpark in front of Blk 175 (main gate)
or Blk 166 (via side gate).
• Parents are reminded to emphasize to your child on the
pick-up point (main gate or side gate) to avoid confusion
during dismissal time.
• Please inform the school OM if your child is taking bus transport
from the Student Care Centre outside school.
Wet Weather during dismissal
• No cars are allowed in the school as long as the school buses
have not left.
• Parents are to wait at the sheltered area at the main gate or the
void deck of Block 166 at the side gate.
• Parents are reminded not to crowd near the gate and/or along
the walkway.
