Introduction This addendum to the 2019/2020 Senior National Team Selection Criteria is designed to provide competition and training camp calendar information that was not available at the time of original criteria publication. The information contain in this document is meant to support that information previously released in the 2019/2020 Senior National Team Selection Criteria and is not meant to be interpreted solely on its own accord.

The tables below provide detailed information regarding recommend and mandatory training camps and competitions for both Senior National Team Roster athletes and Karate Canada carded athletes.

March 13-16, 2019 Restricted to athletes selected to compete at the 2019 Pan American Championships

Mandatory for all 2019 Pan American Championships selected athletes.

Senior Pan American Karate Championships. Panama City, Panama

March 18-23, 2019

Restricted to 2 athletes per division per country for individual divisions and one team per division per country for team divisions.

Highly Recommended for eligible athletes. Mandatory for selected and eligible Carded Athletes.

WKF Karate 1 Premier League Rabat, Morocco

April 19-21, 2019 Event registration restricted to the WKF Top 100 ranked athletes per division as per WKF policy**

August 8-10, 2019 Restricted to PASO qualified athletes.***

Highly recommended for eligible athletes. Mandatory for Carded Athletes

WKF Karate 1 Premier League Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo 2020 OC Official Test Event)

September 6-8, 2019 Event registration restricted to the WKF Top 100 ranked athletes per division as per WKF policy**

Highly recommended for eligible athletes.

Training Camp at the 2019 KC High Performance Summit.

September 27-29, 2019 Open Registration Mandatory for Ontario

and Quebec- based Sr Team Roster athletes and Carded athletes only.

*= Exact dates and locations of all events subject to change and will be confirmed prior to each event.  Karate Canada reserves the right to modify targeted and mandatory events for various reasons, including but not limited to, Canadian government issued travel advisories. ** = As per WKF rules in effect as of January 2018, open only to athletes in the top 100 of the WKF world ranking, with
