COUNTIES)
Reference is made to the tender for Refurbishment of Residential Flats at Central Bank
of Kenya, Mombasa Branch that appeared in both the Standard and Nation
Newspapers and on IFMIS and Central Bank of Kenya websites on 19th February, 2016.
The Central Bank of Kenya notifies all interested tenderers that following the
clarification sought by bidders during the pre-bid meeting held on 26th February, 2016,
Addendum No. 1 is hereby issued. Accordingly, Section V - The Bill of Quantities &
Particular Specifications in page 25 of the tender document has been revised as below:

5. Waterproofing the Roofs 1. On the roof and water tank areas,
prepare the surface, fix water proofing membrane as APP or EPDM with adequate overlaps of 200mm. Lay new clay tiles with water proofing cement.
2. On the roof of the staircases, remove old water proofing membrane and lay a new membrane as APP or EPDM with at least 200mm overlaps.
3. Repair or replace defective concrete coping on the parapet walls.
4. Replace the rusty steel down pipes with 50mm heavy gauge PVC pipes.
5. Fabricate a heavy duty concrete manhole cover for the well/pit outside the Staff Clinic.
