Coordinated School Health in Action
• Implementation of a CSH program will provide the education and activity to promote lifelong physical fitness.
• CSH in action will provide a school environment that can target and prevent obesity and the epidemic increase of type 2 diabetes in youth.
“One in three U.S. children born after 2000 will become diabetic unless many more people start eating less and exercising more”.
Dr. K.M. Venkat Narayan; Diabetes Epidemiologist at the CDC

Community Service and Fund-Raising at School
• School fund-raising should be a legitimate benefit to your students.
• A school fund-raiser should provide an educational experience that will justify participation and support for the school sponsored activity.
• A school fund-raiser should provide goal oriented community service hours.

Consider the following:Which fund-raiser will benefit the best interest
of the children and the school community?
• Health benefits/knowledge of the current age
related issues• Educational impact/community impact• Vendor or organization’s impact on society• Return to the school: Which fund-raiser offers the
