Whether you’re on the racetrack or on a

road trip, how far ahead you can see affects

everything. Jewel Eye™ LED headlights are

standard on every Acura and help to provide

impressive down-the-road visibility with

an intense, wide beam of light designed to

mimic natural sunlight—the light our eyes

are designed to see in. The intended result?

Less fatigued driving, more clarity and

vivid colours.

E X T E R I O R D E S I G N

The bold, aggressive design of the ILX features a distinctive

front end, highlighted by standard Jewel Eye™ LED headlights,

an eye-catching grille design and aggressive front and

rear lower fasciae. The ILX A-SPEC takes it up a notch with

even sportier styling features, including 18" noise-reducing

alloy wheels and Lux-Suede-trimmed sport seats with

contrast stitching.

The ILX A-SPEC takes on an even sportier

look with brilliant fog lights, machine-finished

18" alloy wheels, side skirts and a deck lid

spoiler. The interior look is complete with

stainless steel sport pedals, red instrument

black headliner and contrast stitching.

It’s apparent as soon as you step inside the

cockpit of the ILX – this is a high-performance

machine designed to fit you. From the

available perforated Lux-Suede seats that

grip you to the convenient comfort of

automatic climate control, the ILX cabin

The direct-injection system in the ILX delivers fuel

pressurized at up to 2,900 psi, giving the 201-hp,

2.4 litre i-VTEC engine more power and better

efficiency. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with

torque converter delivers rapid yet smooth transitions

and lightning-quick responses, while standard paddle

shifters grant you greater control and a more direct

connection to the car.

Amplitude Reactive Dampers that are engineered to give

Standard on the ILX, our AcuraWatch™ suite of

advanced safety and driver-assist technologies

combines a network of next-level sensing

technologies designed to increase awareness

and support the driver, working to help mitigate

and in some cases even avoid impacts. Sensors

are designed to continuously monitor the

vehicle’s surroundings and recognize not only

vehicles, but also the shapes of motorcyclists

and pedestrians—even certain-shaped

shrubbery and mailboxes. AcuraWatch™ can

warn of potential threats, provide steering input

to help keep you in the centre of a detected

lane, brake to help maintain a set interval from

vehicles detected ahead, and apply emergency

brake pressure in some cases to help avoid

or mitigate the risks of frontal collisions.
