Acts 7:35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the samethe same did God send to beto be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

God doesn't always give us what we wantwe want;

He gives usHe gives us what we need.

God may not usenot use the person I would have

chosen to deliver medeliver me in time of trouble.

He may not choose the timetime I think is right.

He may not choose the placeplace I think best.He may not choose the howhow I think best.

37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

The Law itself was given outside the land: Moses was in the congregation in the desert.

39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, 40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

The Jews had always been quick to turnturn against their God-called leadersGod-called leaders, including Moses.

That they would turn against their MessiahMessiah, God's only Son, and His disciplesHis disciples was no surprise.

41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the worksworks of their own handsown hands. 42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

If we are determineddetermined to worship our ownown selves and our ownown works,

God won't stop us.God won't stop us.Proverbs 1 30 They would none of My Counsel: they despised all My Reproof. 31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own wayown way, and be filled with their own devicesown devices. 32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

A person who is determined to turndetermined to turn from God,

and live life his own wayhis own way, can do it.

But God says he lacks wisdomlacks wisdom.

He will reapreap the fruit of his own way;

He won't have God's hedgeGod's hedge of protection.

He will be filled with his own deviceshis own devices.

He will suffersuffer the full consequences of allall that he does.

Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Even though he prospershe prospers in his own way and by his own devices, he is destroyingdestroying his own blessed life.

Proverbs 10 22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

That these Jews would rejectreject God's Plan and turnturn unto false worship was no surprise;

It was their history.It was their history.

Let us be the people of God who trulywho truly love Him with our whole hearts, mind, soul, and strength.

Let usLet us be the children of God who will nevernever turn back.
