Activity II – Making a Sales Pitch

The Sales Pitch should include:

1. A beginning statement that gets the class’s attention and makes them excited about your product.

2. A list of all the fantastic features your product has. Tell them how many fun things they can do with the product.

3. An ending statement that asks the class to buy your product.


Split the students into pairs OR into groups of three (depending on the size of your classroom). Each pair represents a sales team. Give each team a product to sell. You can use some of the examples found on the last pages of this document, or you can think of your own products.

Each team should work together to figure out a “sales pitch” that they can write to sell their product. Give them a certain time frame to work on this project.

After the “sales pitch” has been completed, you can either: Pair one group of 2-3 with another group of 2-3. Have

them take turns trying to persuade the other group to buy the product. Encourage the group who is listening to the “sales pitch” to ask questions and make objections.

Have one group of 2-3 try to persuade the rest of the class to buy the product. Encourage the rest of the class to ask questions and make objections as they listen to the pitch.

If the group has convinced a majority to buy their product then they have written a successful sales pitch.


Red Dirt Dawg Description: Safe because of knobby tires, a skateboard

deck, mountain bike brakes, and a grind plate. Can do stunts that cannot do on regular scooter. Can go off sidewalks, on grass, downhill, through the woods, and over small rocks.


Portable Pop Up Pitcher’s Target Target to help pitcher aim. Has a “ball catch” feature (see

black flap at the bottom) returns baseballs to front of target. Hard to bend, and ground stakes are provided.


Wild Water Slide Has side pads. Slide is 12 ft. long. Hooks up to a

regular garden hose, spraying the slide under a constant stream of water.


Beach Cabana Is UV treated (SPF 30) to protect from the sun. Can be

used at beach or in the front yard. White mesh around the tent to help with insects. Has corner sand bags so that cabana won’t blow away on a windy day. Comes with carry bag.


Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots Two players use the hand controllers to move the

plastic boxers every move until the winner knocks loose the other’s spring-loaded head. Lots of action and competition.


Pogo Stick Features a sturdy metal body covered in heavy-duty,

soft foam. Comes already assembled and includes non-slip foot pads, handle grips and rubber tips. Supports jumpers who weigh 40-80 lbs


Mini Trampoline Our 38 inches wide. It sturdy and can be assembled in

minutes – legs twist on and off. Is lightweight so that you can move it. Holds people up to 200 lbs. No exposed springs and only 7.5" off the ground.


Virtual Speed Baseball You can measure throwing speed to the nearest mph.

Baseball covered in real leather cover. Digital LCD readout – like a watch. You can mark the distance with included string or go to the local baseball field. Includes 2 button cell batteries which last for 100,000 throws!


Unicycle Fun to ride and helps develop balance and coordination

skills. Has an adjustable seat that lets it grow with the rider. For riders up to 150 lbs. Size up to 31" (adjustable).


Electric Scooter Turns on with a key. Runs on batteries and has a dial that

shows when batteries are low. Has headlights and blinkers. Comes with 2 batteries and can run up to 8 miles on a full charge. Can go no faster than 15mph and can carry no one heavier than 220 lbs.
