ABOUT THE BAND: Eight years ago, Johnny and Janell were nothing more than two strangers meeting for the first time at the local levels of the Colgate Country Showdown. It was there in their hometown of Orlando, FL that they began a friendship that was rooted in music. As they achieved success individually, both Johnny and Janell served as each other’ s greatest sources of encouragement. Their paths lead them to Nashville, TN where they began to write and perform side by side. Neither of them knew it at the time but with every song they sang together, they were one step closer to LOCKHART.

Johnny Bulford is a respected songwriter and winner of The Colgate Country Showdown. He is best known for penning Lee Brice’s first #1 song, “A Woman Like You” and Chris Young’s hit “Lonely Eyes.” Johnny has always felt more comfortable on stage than off. With Janell, those feelings are heightened. “I’ve always loved the sound of her voice, and now I’m lucky enough to get to hear it every day. I’m as much of a fan of her as I am a partner."

With Johnny's powerhouse vocals, and Janell's sweet sultry style, their music is set apart by incredible writing, and honest emotion behind every word. Their voices fit together seamlessly, creating warm harmonies that captivate their listeners and their audiences.

Saturday Night Bands

7:30pm

Opening Act - Lovestruck Robot Hometown: Orlando, FL Genres: Pop / Rock / R&B Within the first week of their debut album release in April 2011, “I Wanna Be In A Band,” Lovestruck Robot beat out more than 300 bands and won the Florida Grammy Showcase the opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival & Conference. The band received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts, music industry experts and the general public. Since then, this Orlando based band’s following has grown in both physical and online presence and continues to have a solid following. Some industry personnel have described the band’s sound as a collaboration of Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot shot a music video for the title track, “I Wanna Be In a Band.” The video is a tongue-in-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after “making it big.” In February, 2012 the band was featured as “Band of the Month” on Jango Airplay and in April performed and interviewed on air at WPRK 91.5 for the “Local Heroes” show. The Lovestruck Robot single from the 1st album “Do It All for the Dream” had been featured on Sirius XM “20 on 20″ in regular rotation attaining top ten status on multiple occasions with over 500 spins. The exposure has resulted in more downloads in the band’s music and an increase in the fan base. Lovestruck Robot appeared on Tampa’s WTSP-TV “Studio 10” Morning Show as musical guests, performing “Do It All for the Dream” and “Sunday With You” live, immediately receiving tremendous feedback from viewers. They have also performed at the House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe, and many other regional entertainment venues. For more information on “Lovestruck Robot”, please click here.

Saturday Night Headliner – 8:00pm

One of Orlando’s Top Party Bands!

Comprised of a unique group of talented young musicians, their diverse show caters to any crowd -

guaranteed to get you up and moving!

With a track record of satisfying every audience with whom they’ve come in contact with, the Leonard

Brothers Band proves why they have been called “Orlando’s Must See Attractions!” by one of Orlando’s Top

Theme Park Entertainment Managers.

Their success in Orlando saw them opening for name talent the likes of Creedence Clearwater Revival and

Lynyrd Skynyrd, and given extensive contracts with the Walt Disney World club circuit as well as Universal

Studios!

This led to performances for not only audiences at large, but corporate clients as well! The band has

entertained companies as far ranging as: Microsoft, McDonalds, KPMG, Novartis, CVS, DHL, Bayer, NBC,

ServiceMasters, GE, Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Johnson Controls, Grey Goose, ABC, and Kawasaki. Add to that

their successful shows at MGM Grand Casinos and the Disney Cruise Line and you begin to see why they are

a band that conquers every nuance in their set.

Check in Procedures - Friday

Upon arriving at Osceola Heritage Park, you will enter the main gate and proceed through the park with the flow of traffic. There will be signage and military personnel directing traffic.

ALL VEHICLES MUST have a Central Florida Scouting Jamboree parking sticker to enter Osceola Heritage Park. These will come in your packet when you register by November 15th. Or, if you register between November 16 and November 30, your packets will be available for pick up in Program Services at the Wayne Densch Council Service Center. Please have your parking pass out prior to entering Osceola Heritage Park – this will make for a faster and smoother check in process.

Some guidelines to consider:

• Upon arriving at the camp, all units will be immediately directed to their camping

area.

• District or area campmasters will be responsible for organizing their camping area.

• We will allow one unit trailer & vehicle to enter Osceola Heritage Park and

to be left at individual campsites if there is no rain. If it rains there will be a

plan B. All other vehicles will be directed to a special parking area near-by.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

• Military members and staff will be available to assist in directing all vehicles to the

parking areas.

• Full cooperation from each unit will assist in maintaining the camp at the

high standards to which we’re all accustomed.

14

Some guidelines to consider (Cont.): Troops must check in with the campmaster and turn in an updated

roster before setting up camp. Please check with your campmaster

to see if they have any specific instructions for you or to report any

special needs your unit may have.

Cub Packs may camp overnight at Osceola Heritage Park. Packs will

be allowed to camp out both nights. The BSA guideline of

youth/adult ratio of 1:1 will apply. There will be Military & Security

volunteers located throughout the park for your security and

assistance.

A limited number of RV camping sites are available at Osceola

Heritage Park. Register early -as they will be reserved on a first

come, first served basis. Tent camping is recommended. Cars are

allowed at campsites to unload and then must move to an

assigned parking area. Carpooling is highly recommended. All

other vehicles will be diverted to an additional parking lot near

Osceola Heritage Park. Overnight parking are also available at the

local high school next door.

Check in Procedures - Saturday

Upon arrival, all vehicles will be greeted inside the park. You will then

be directed to the parking area to unload. NO vehicles will be permitted

to enter Osceola Heritage Park camping areas besides the one

designated unit vehicle.

15

Identification

At all times, each attendee MUST wear the wristband event ID that will

be provided with registration. These bands will help identify

participants in case of an emergency and allow access to the events.

Replacement bands will be subject to verification and paying the fee

again. Participants cannot participate in any of the events or shows

without this wristband.

Rules

The Scout Oath, Scout Law, the Law of the Pack and the Outdoor Code

serve as the rule book for all Scouting events. In addition, the following

rules must be observed:

No sheath knives, personal firearms or fireworks of any kind will

be allowed in the camp (in the possession of youth or adult). Any

of the above items discovered by camp staff will be confiscated

until the unit checks out with their campmaster Sunday morning.

No alcoholic beverages, illegal or illicit drugs will be tolerated.

Anyone, youth or adult, found to be in possession of these items

will be turned over to law enforcement.

Drivers and passengers must wear seat belts at all times while

riding in a vehicle. No persons in cargo beds or sitting loose in

vans.

Leader Conduct

We ask that all leaders assist us in enforcing these policies and encourage leaders to

take one additional step toward setting a good example for the youth of our council.

Please give sincere consideration on taking a weekend break from use of all tobacco and

e-cigarette products. Young minds are impressionable and Scouting youth frequently

look to their leaders as role models. Units are expected to follow the “Pack it in -

Pack it out” method of dealing with trash.

16

17

Important Information

What to bring

Troops and Packs will be responsible for their own meals during this event and

should plan accordingly. Scouts normally do not want to leave the fun-filled event

area and go back to the campsite to prepare meals. Therefore, we suggest using the

Osceola Heritage Park Food Services -concession area. We have made the food prices

affordable to help keep costs as low as possible for our families. The Osceola Heritage

Park Food Service concession area is in the center of the Programs, Adventure & Fun so

that everyone can participate in more program fun and enjoy delicious food. Please see

page 20 for more information. Unfortunately, no ground fires, open fires or fire pits are

permitted.

In addition to Troop equipment, the following list is provided to assist campers in the

selection of their personal gear. Refer to your Boy Scout Handbook for additional

assistance.

Completed Annual Health & Medical Record Form (see page 30-32)

Uniform – Can wear Scout t-shirt during the day. Please wear field (Class A)

uniforms to the Friday evening & Saturday evening stage shows.

Sleeping Bag (if camping)

Appropriate clothing (it can get cold in December at night)

Rain gear

Toiletries (if camping)

Personal first aid kit

Small flashlight

Camera

Money (trading post and concessions will be a v a i l a b l e )

Latrines and Showers

We are providing portable latrines to supplement the permanent toilet facilities at

Osceola Heritage Park. All CFLS Jamboree participants are urged to keep the latrine

facilities as clean as possible. All latrines will receive regular servicing during the

weekend. No shower facilities will be available while camping on the Osceola

Heritage Park site.

18

Important Information Fresh Water Units are highly encouraged to bring large FULL water containers and canteens for

their convenience. Bottled water for drinking will be sold at the Osceola Heritage Park

Concession Stands.

Wastewater (Grey Water) Wastewater MUST be collected and disposed of into designated collection points or

drains. You can do this with a 5-gallon bucket or other device that can store non-potable

water. Dumping wastewater (sometimes called “grey water”) onto the ground is a

violation of Osceola Heritage Park rules. Help us protect our environment, Osceola

Heritage Park and Osceola County to dispose of wastewater properly.

Fires NO ground fires, open fires or fire pits are allowed, this includes charcoal grills. This is

necessary to protect the park’s ecosystem from fire damage and to protect the quality

of the air for the event participants. Also, open fires pose a significant risk to the park

in case of dry weather. Troops will be only allowed to use gas/propane stoves in

accordance with BSA safety policies and rules.

Trash Trash receptacles will be located in high volume areas of the park. Please help

reduce container overflow by bagging campsite trash and taking it out of the park

when you leave. This is a good time to teach “pack it in/pack it out” to your scouts. All

trash at campsites shall be picked up before checking-out with the campmaster.

Golf Carts/ Gators/ Bicycles/ Skateboards Golf carts and Gators are for staff use only. No personal golf carts, gators or four-

wheelers, etc. are allowed. Other than for emergencies, event participants will not be

allowed to ride in or on golf carts. Event participants who need a handicapped pass to

use a vehicle (other than their personal powered wheelchair or scooter) should

check in with safety and security at registration. Every effort will be made to

accommodate all event participants. No bicycles, skateboards, or scooters are

allowed.

19

Important Information

Security Security and traffic control in and around Osceola Heritage Park will be handled by

various law enforcement agencies. These agencies include the Military, Police

Officers, Sheriff Deputies, and the campmasters.

The Military will be providing security patrols and traffic controls throughout the

park. They will be providing 24-hour monitoring of all park activities and will also

provide security and assistance as requested by the Central Florida Council. In the

case of an emergency, or if you need assistance inside Osceola Heritage Park, contact

a member of the Military or a campmaster and they will provide any and all necessary

support to assist you. They will be in constant contact with the medical staff and law

enforcement agencies and located throughout the park in teams.

The main security station will be located in the Exhibition Hall.

The Military will be checking wristbands at all gates, entrances and other locations

throughout the park. No person will be allowed into an area without displaying the

proper wristbands. Children two years old and under do not need a wristband.

Between midnight and 7:00 AM(quiet hours), all Scouts must be in their tents. The

Military and campmasters will be enforcing this and will take any violators to their

respective leaders as necessary and provide a listing to the Scout Jamboree leadership

each morning. The only exception to this rule will be for a trip to the nearest latrine and

then back to their tents.

Any group that needs to take down their campsite and leave the park prior to Sunday

morning must contact security and the campmaster for assistance.

Traffic

Osceola Heritage Park is managed by SMG Venue Management. Traffic will be

controlled and signs directing the flow of traffic will be posted throughout the park

areas. One camping tag per Unit designating the ability to park in the designated

camping area will be provided to a member from your Unit packet. This tag must be

hung from the rearview mirror of each vehicle. To keep traffic flowing smoothly, DO

NOT STOP ON THE PARK ROADWAY, unless directed to do so. If you miss your turn,

the flow of traffic through the park is in a large circular path so you will be able to get

back in line for a second chance. There will also be personnel along the route to help

direct you to your correct destination.

20

Important Information

Parking

All vehicles entering the Osceola Heritage Park will be directed to

a specific parking area by signage and the Military personnel with

the assistance of the campmasters. Please respect the guidance

provided as it is intended for the safety of all participants.

Parking in the assigned campsite areas will be allowed with a camping

tag that will be included in the unit packet. Only one vehicle per unit will

be allowed to park in the campsite areas. That means each Cub Scout

Pack, Boy Scout Troop or Venturing Crew will be issued One Vehicle

pass per group. Boy Scouts typically have a troop trailer that will use

the pass. We encourage Cub Scout Pack families to work together and

coordinate the use of a trailer or one large vehicle for all Pack gear to

be transported to the campsite. All other vehicles will be parked in an

assigned parking area close to their campsite.

The Military and campmasters greatly appreciate your support and

understanding in performing their duties as requested by the Central

Florida Council. Their aim is to ensure this event is rewarding and safe

for all those who attend. The Military will be working side-by-side

with BSA leadership to ensure that the needs of those who attend the

Jamboree are met.

First Aid, Medical Release & Wristbands A medical release form MUST be filled out for everyone attending the

Jamboree. A copy of the release is included in the leader’s guide and

online. Feel free to make additional copies as needed. Everyone,

parents, siblings, etc. should fill one out and carry it in their pockets. All

attendees will be provided with a wristband. Wrist bands will be in the pre-

registration packets or will be given at walk-in registration. These wristbands

MUST be worn at all times. This will assist in identifying participants in

case of an emergency.

The main first aid station will be located outside the Exhibition Hall in

a tent and will be staffed by medical personnel 24-hours a day.

21

Important Information

Aid, Medical Release & Wristbands (Cont.):

All cases requiring treatment should be brought to the attention of the

event staff and, if necessary, taken to the first aid station. In the event

of a medical emergency which requires that the person NOT be moved;

headquarters or medical personnel should be notified immediately to

arrange for transportation of the injured. Arrangements have been

made with a nearby hospital in case of serious accident or injury.

Individuals with special medical conditions or needs should

inform the medical personnel during the registration process.
