pre-final year undergraduates of the Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Dept. of IEM, BMS College

of Engineering, Bengaluru, from 5th -7th April, 2018. The students were trained on various aspects of

Resume writing, Do’s and Don’ts in a GD and nuances of facing a personal interview.

Mr. Sridhar. H. R was invited as a Quiz Master to host the Business Quiz Finals of 'Ashwamedha

2018' the inter collegiate Management fest at SIT, Tumakuru on 11th April 2018

program called 'Kathe nimma Jothe' played between 8 pm to 9 pm.

Dr. Minu Zachariah gave a talk on “Personal Effectiveness-for young at heart.”

Dr. Minu Zachariah, faculty from MBA Department BMSCE was invited as a resource person to give

a talk on “Personal Effectiveness- for the young at heart” for senior citizens, at St. Thomas

Mahaedavaka, on 28th April 2018 from 5.30 P.M. to 6.30 P.M. The talk mainly focused on the problems

of elderly and how they could have a positive approach towards life after retirement to have better

quality of life. Around 60 senior citizens participated in the program.

Dr. Leena S Guruprasad, Assistant Professor, Dept of MBA was invited as resource person for Three

day - All India Teachers Training Workshop on “Ways and Means of Imparting Ethical Values” held

on 2nd, 3rd & 4th May 2018 at CREST Research Centre, Kanha, Hyderabad. The teachers were trained

on various pedagogy such as - Inquiry based learning, group discussions, Role plays etc do impart

values among Children; Case of “Sarvodaya Project” was discussed to motivate teachers.(No Photo)

Professor. Sridhar.H.R. was invited as a Quiz Master to host the Business Quiz Finals of

'Suprayoga 2018' at MBA department, Global Academy of Technology on 9th May 2018.

2. Consultancy Projects

Dr. Leena S Guruprasad has been empanelled as “Subject Matter Expert (SME)” at HireMee

Pvt Ltd in the area of Accounting, Retail Banking, Investment Banking& Securities market on

consultation basis for a period of one year w.e.f from 31st May 2018. HireMee is a web portal

and mobile App that connects companies/recruiters & talents across India with reference to

hiring process. They are into skill assessments.

3. Student Achievements

4th Semester MBA students receiving the Social Initiative award at FKCCI on 31st May 2018.

4th semester MBA students Ms.Prerana, Mr.Srinivasan Rajesh and Mr.Rahul Ranjan have

won the 'SOCIAL INITIATIVE AWARD' at 'MANTHAN 2018' organised by FKCCI.

This award was presented on 31st May 2018 by FKCCI.

organized by the MBA Department, Sir MVIT College of Engineering, Bangalore on 25th September 2018. The

FDP was titled “Art of writing and publishing research articles”. There were 46 participants from across various

colleges in and around Bangalore.

Entrepreneurship” under the aegis of GIAN, an initiative of MHRD. The course was conducted

for six days from 13th November 2018 to 18th November 2018. The guest faculty was Dr.

Anthony Jensen, Conjoint Lecturer at the Business School, University of Newcastle, Australia

and the host faculty were Dr. Shubha B N, Associate prof-MBA and Dr. Shubha Muralidhar,

Assistant Prof-MBA. The course had participants across India who were both from industry

and academia.

2. Alumni Meet - KUTUMBA Organized in the Department

Department of management studies and Research center, B.M.S College of Engineering, had

organized an Alumni Meet “KUTUMBA” on 2nd December 2018. The meet witnessed a total

gathering of around 60 Alumni.

The event started with a welcome speech by HOD- MBA, Dr. S. John Manohar followed by

Principal. Learnings from BMSCE was shared by Alumni & Faculty members and their

expectation from corporate was discussed.

There was interaction between the current batch of MBA students and Alumni. Principal Dr.

B.V. Ravishankar ended the meet with his presidential remarks.

Finally memorable momentous were distributed to Alumni as a part of brand promotions.
