ACTIVE EIDS AND PROTOCOL 36 CONSULTATION

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to heavily impact emergency communications around the globe, Priority Dispatch has created a training session for the MPDS user on Protocol 36 (Pandemic/Epidemic/Outbreak) and the Emerging Infectious Disease Surveillance (EIDS) Tool.

The interactive training will be conducted in two, 2-hour web-based sessions and will provide the administrative and user-level knowledge needed to configure and use the tools.

TRAINING WILL INCLUDE:

• Protocol 36 and EIDS Tool structure, function, and usage.

• Demonstration of the System Administration Utility configuration.

• Links to additional COVID-19 pandemic information, including PIO materials.

EIDS TOOLLearn the basics about the EIDS Tool, including how to implement it, how to access it, when it should be used, and under what circumstances. Then take a deeper dive and learn about Surveillance vs. Trigger Mode (Admin.) and gain a better understanding of Medical Director questions and instructions (Admin).

PROTOCOL 36As with the EIDS Tool, this training provides an opportunity to learn what Protocol 36 is: how to implement it, when to use, under what circumstances it should be used, and how to access it for use in the system (Admin). Learn about Surveillance vs. Trigger mode as it relates to EIDS and discuss Pandemic Levels (Admin.)
