Chapter 1: Overview

1.1 Introduction

ACTAtek AMS Desktop Enrollment Software provides fingerprint enrollment with the ACTAtek USB

Logiprint scanner attached to a Windows based computer to Access Manager. Add and update

fingerprint data to existing user profiles with ease and bypass the traditional method of fingerprint

enrollment on the ACTAtek.

Chapter 2: Installing AMS Desktop Enrollment

2.1 Installation

Download AMS Desktop Enrollment software and extract the ZIP package.

Navigate to the extracted folder and run setup.exe and follow the on screen instructions. Accept

installation confirmations until the software installation is completed.


ACTAtek AMS Desktop Enrollment software can now be found in the ACTAtek folder from the Windows

Start Menu.

2.2 Logiprint Windows Driver Software

To ensure your Windows Operating System will recognize the ACTAtek USB Logiprint scanner, please

download and install the latest USB Logiprint driver for your Windows Operating System.

Extract the Logiprint Driver ZIP package and run setup.exe. Follow the on screen instructions.


Press Finish to complete the installation. Now connect the ACTAtek Logiprint scanner to an unoccupied

USB port on your computer and Windows will initiate the ACTAtek Logiprint scanner.

You are now ready to use ACTAtek AMS Desktop Enrollment software with the ACTAtek Logiprint

scanner to enroll fingerprint data to user profiles in Access Manager.


Chapter 3: Fingerprint Enrollment

3.1 Login

Run ACTAtek AMS Desktop Enrollment software from the Windows Start Menu.

Provide the IP address of the server with Access Manager installed if the ACTAtek Desktop Enrollment

software is not installed on the Access Manager server. User Name and Password are the same login

credentials for Access Manager. Press the Login button to login.

3.2 Enroll Fingerprint with Logiprint

Locate the user profile to enroll a fingerprint template. If this is for a new user, please create a new user

profile in Access Manager first before enrolling their fingerprint.


Press the button with the User ID under the Edit column to add or update a fingerprint template for the

selected user. Check Enable Fingerprint to allow this user to have a fingerprint template and check

Enable Automatch if applicable.

Press the Start Fingerprint Scan button and it will toggle through 3 iterations of scanning the user's

fingerprint. Place the user's finger on the Logiprint scanner and lift for 3 times. Enrollment process

finished successfully message will appear at the end of the third iteration.

If the quality of the scan was poor, please try with another finger and then press Start Fingerprint Scan

to rescan and update the previous enrollment. Press the Update button once you are satisfied with the

final outcome.


Now you will return back to the main application. Once all the enrollment updates are made, press the

Upload Changes button and Access Manager will carry out the user update syncs to the ACTAteks.
