Introduction to Windloading

Windloading

• Fd = Wind Loading Force

• Rho = Air density

• V = Wind speed

• A = Surface area

• Cd = Drage Coeffiecient (not use)

Description of the Windloading Ext.

What should the Capabilities of the extension be:

• a pressure should be calculated based on wind velocity;

• the pressure should be assigned in a direction;

• only positive pressures should be added;

• pressure should also be reduced based on the orientation of the element and the loading direction;

• 2 loading type: constant or gradient loading across the height of the construction;

• a shape factor can be assigned for different types of profiles (code check)
