GENERAL COMMENTS:

ACRASOFT Conc is a permanent cationic silicone emulsion softenerdesigned to give outstanding softness and fiber-to-fiber lubricity to

acrylics and Acrylic blends. ACRASOFT Conc provides a unique type ofsoftening to give a soft, supple hand with excellent drape. Thesoftener is completely non-yellowing and will not contribute toscorch and heat discoloration in any fabric. The presence of

ACRASOFT Conc provides lubricity and greatly improved knit ability oftreated yarns.

ACRASOFT Conc is a permanent softener and will withstand numerous homewashings without loss of hand.

APPLICATION:

ACRASOFT Conc can be applied to pack or skeins at the rate of 1-5%o.w.f. @ 180F for 30-40 minutes. Adjust pH to 3.5-4.0 with AceticAcid or Oxalic Acid.

ACRASOFT Conc is compatible with most basic dye systems for acrylic

fibers. A suggested dye bath formulation is:

ACRASOFT Conc------------------- 2.0% o.w.f.ECCO RETARDER 8500 ------------- 0.5% o.w.f.

ECCO LEVELER NH-2 CONC --------- 1.0% o.w.f. SOLON CONC (sequestrate) ------- 0.1% o.w.f.

LIQUID BASIC DYE --------------- 2.0% o.w.fACETIC ACID TO pH -------------- 3.5 - 4.0

Process at 200-230F for 45 - 90 min. Rinse.

On bleach yarn,ACRASOFT Conc should be added after bleaching in thefinal rinse and process at 180F for 30-45 minutes at a pH of 3.5 -4.0.
